6 THE BIG IDEA, CON T There are three major classes of responses to threat. These evolved... from immobilization (freeze, dissociate) to mobilization (fight, flight) to social communication (appease) Under pressure, the body will move automatically to protect access to the three essential nutrients - safety, connection, and dignity - by employing one of these responses Different physiological states support different classes of behavior This is a physiological response expressed in behavior 16 RESOURCES & REFERENCES Carter, R, et. al.
