4 Curriculum Vitae Page 4/6 Research Interests My research focuses on the Implicit Association Test (IAT) and related indirect attitude measures. I am particularly interested in optimizing these measures by scrutinizing their underlying processes. In order to quantify the crucial contributing processes, I make use of multinomial modeling. In this respect, the ReAL model plays a key role. It dissociates evaluative associations and recoding processes (a simplification of the classification task) within a single IAT. Current lines of research cover questions regarding specific characteristics of recoding and associations, the clarification of unresolved patterns of results in the IAT literature, the influence of executive control on the IAT, and the mechanisms behind attitude formation and change.
