1 MEMORY TRAINING CENTERS OF AMERICA MTCA National Newsletter October 21, 2014 MTCA provides evaluation & treatment for older adults suffering from memory loss due to Alzheimer's or other disease processes, and is the largest U.S. provider of cognitive evaluation and memory training services in Senior Living communities. We are fortunate to have an ever-growing community of professional cognitive health consultants, working together to provide the best possible care to our patients and their care-givers. We are grateful for the dedication of our clinicians who tirelessly give of themselves, committed to achieving our shared goal of helping our older adult clients who suffer from memory loss. Last year, 15.5 million family and friends provided 17.7 billion hours of unpaid care for those with Alzheimer s and related dementias. MTCA DEMENTIA TREATMENT PROGRAM EXPANDS THROUGHOUT U.S. REGIONS After evaluating and treating individuals with mild cognitive impairment for more than a decade, the MTCA Dementia Treatment Program (DTP) is an innovative, new program which is enabling MTCA to now also serve individuals who are further along in the disease process of dementia. Our clinical consultants undergo specialized training and become certified as Dementia Therapists, enabling them to bring a uniquely powerful intervention to this population-in-need.
