2 Stroke Imaging Hands-on CT Workshop Course Two day intensive course aimed at Radiologists, Radiographers, Stroke Neurologists and ER Physicians who are involved in the diagnosis and management of Patients with acute and sub acute stroke. Course Design The course will be a combination of dedicated lectures, interactive with the faculty and step by step practical guidance on processing CTB, CTP, CTA & CTV. Emphasis is on hands on experience for you, utilizing real cases on individual work stations. Schedule Classroom tuition Dedicated lectures focusing on MDCT in brain imaging, CT in acute ischemic Stroke, Brain Perfusion CT, Vascular imaging in acute ischemic stroke, Acute haemorrhagic stroke, Cerebral venous Thrombosis Workshop Hands on using dedicated workstations and review different cases as covered during the lectures. 3 Faculty Dr Evelyn Teasdale BSc (Hons), MBChB, MRCP(UK), FRCR Dr Teasdale has worked as a Consultant Neuroradiologist at the specialist Department of Clinical Neuroradiology in the tertiary neurological and neurosurgical Institute of Neurological Sciences, Southern General Hospital Glasgow. She s been a consultant there from 1979 until her recent retirement in She continues to work as a Neuroradiologist Hairmyres Hospital, Lanarkshire. Her primary interests are in the optimisation of CT protocols in complex neurological conditions, imaging in head injuries, pituitary disorders and acute stroke. She was the independent CT reader in the IMAGES MRC funded trial co-ordinated at the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics at the Western Infirmary on the effect of magnesium on patients with an acute stroke, and has been responsible for the CT Perfusion and CTAngiographic components of the Glasgow cases entered into several international stroke trials Dr Ravi Jampana MBChB, MRCS (Edin), FRCR(UK) Dr Ravi Varma Jampana is working as a Consultant Neuroradiologist at the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Glasgow, United Kingdom. He was trained in West of Scotland Radiology scheme and obtained FRCR in He developed an interest in Neuroimaging and completed 2 years neuroradiology fellowship in INS, Glasgow and has been a Consultant since He has an interest in imaging of Stroke, epilepsy, Maxillofacial Oncology and dementia disorders. He utilises both structural and functional techniques such as SPECT in his practice, but with a passion for CT. He shares his enthusiasm at various lecture meetings and he is involved in regular teaching of various clinical groups from Medical students to Neurologists. He is Royal College of Radiologists Educational Supervisor for Radiology trainees. He is also a Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in University of Glasgow.
