1 Tania Giovannetti, Ph.D. Temple University Psychology Department Weiss Hall, Room N.13 th Street Philadelphia, PA EDUCATION NIH National Research Service Award (T32) Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neurologic Rehabilitation Research sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute, Philadelphia, PA Ph. D. Clinical Psychology- Neuropsychology Concentration Drexel University (American Psychological Association Accredited Program), Philadelphia, PA Dissertation Title: Naturalistic Action Impairments in Dementia. Dissertation Chair: Douglas Chute, Ph.D Internship in Clinical Neuropsychology, Long Island Jewish Medical Center (American Psychological Association Accredited Program), Glen Oaks, NY 1996 M.S. Clinical Psychology- Neuropsychology Concentration Drexel University (American Psychological Association Accredited Program, Philadelphia, PA Thesis Title: Patterns of Impairment in Category Fluency in Alzheimer s Disease and Ischemic Vascular Dementia. Thesis Chair: Douglas Chute, Ph.D B.S. Psychology, Magna Cum Laude Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA PRESENT ACADEMIC APPOINTMENT present Assistant Professor of Psychology, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA RESEARCH My research examines the neuropsychological operations recruited for routine everyday activities, such as coffee-making or meal preparation. Unlike memory and language, the neurocognitive architecture of everyday action remains poorly understood. Thus, my research program aims to develop and refine a model of normal everyday action, to explain the breakdown of everyday action in people with cognitive deficits due to brain damage or disease, and to inform interventions that facilitate everyday action performance in patient populations.
