During my job in this department, I have worked as a House Officer & Registrar. My clinical duties included Out-Patient Clinic Sessions (Twice weekly), dealing with new patient & follow-up patients, ward rounds, 2-3 shi s per week (each las ng 24 hours) taking care of the newly admitted & emergency cases. In addition, my duties included performing Endoscopy (3 sessions /week), abdominal ultrasonography (one session /week), participating in seminars, journal clubs, case presentation, conferences related to my specialty & assistance in some clinically base studies & projects. In Al-Azhar University Hospitals, the Resident & Registrar was rotational between the different units every 3 months. The team would generally consist of professors (Consultants), 2 lectures (senior registrars), Assistant lectures (registrars) & Senior House Officer (residents). During my rotations, I had the chance to deal with hundreds of case in the following Specialties: Hepatology & Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Neurology, Hematology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Respiratory & Rheumatology in addition to dealing with emergency cases. Also, I had been assisting my professors in their private clinics.
