8 NEWTON-UNGKU OMAR FUND (NUOF): UK-MALAYSIA BILATERAL MEDICAL & HEALTH RESEARCH The Medical Research Council (MRC) UK and the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) will hold a joint call for research proposals in March/ April 2016 that will focus on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) of relevance to Malaysia and particularly those impacting the most vulnerable in society.
