The participants are not covered by any form of insurance by the Organising Committee. POSTER COMPETITION Original scientific or clinical paper submitted by medical officers or young surgeons will be assessed by a panel of experts during the Symposium. Shortlisted participants will be notified for final assessment. There will be 3 prizes given during the closing ceremony for 3 best posters chosen. The prizes are 1 st Prize : RM500 2 nd Prize : RM250 3 rd Prize : RM100 This award will hopefully encourage research and scientific presentations among the budding surgeons. Regulations 1. The competition is open to all young surgeons and surgical trainees currently working in Malaysian institutions who are below 35 years old as on 1st January The work submitted may be from any surgical specialty, and it may take the form of clinical trials, surveys, retrospective studies, laboratory experiments or any other form of unpublished original work. 3. The abstracts for the poster presentation are to be submitted by to sospiss2014@yahoo.com before 10 th March The instructions for the poster size to be presented will be informed to accepted participants via before 30 th March 2014.
