The general referral criteria for the Eating Disorders are as follows: A primary diagnosis of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or eating disorder not otherwise specified is followed by a primary care physician and/or nurse practitioner, is followed by a secondary level of care eating disorders program, a mental health program (if a program/service exists in your health authority or through the Ministry of Children and Family Development), you are a resident of BC (some exceptions may apply), and you are 17 years of age (out of high school) or older. Referrals for assessment and treatment are accepted from secondary eating disorders programs (where available) across the Province. In the event that a secondary program is available, referrals are accepted Provincial Intake Coordinator from other secondary service provides. Discovery Vista House In collaboration with St. Paul s Eating Disorders Fleming Street V5N 3V5 Phone: Fax: The Discovery Vista House is a partnership between the Provincial Adult Specialized Tertiary Eating Disorders and Vancouver Coastal Health. 10 Bed residential treatment program. Two for follow-up and transitional support, and eight for clients participating in the Discovery. The Discovery Day at St. Paul s Hospital involves intensive group and individual psychotherapy. Referrals are made by the Provincial Adult Specialized Tertiary Eating Disorders. Community Outreach Partnership In collaboration with St. Paul s Eating Disorders 18+ COPP Vista House 3360 Fleming Street, V5N-3V5 Phone: The Community Outreach Partnership (COPP) is a partnership between the Provincial Adult Specialized Tertiary Eating Disorders and Vancouver Coastal Health. COPP offers an individualized, community-based treatment that focuses on improving quality of life and is characterized by flexibility, creativity and adaptability. The program also provides support when clients are in hospital, and acts as a bridge between a client s community and their hospital inpatient care. These include individual, group, and family therapy; meal support and nutrition; as well as medical and psychiatric treatment. During their stay, residents also engage in a variety of guided recreation, arts, and leisure activities that encourage self-awareness, a sense of connection, and the life skills and confidence to live a life without an eating disorder.
