2 Please follow the instructions provided in your package for completing your fecal immunochemical test (FIT). Return your completed test to the nearest medical laboratory. The names and locations of medical labs in your health region are listed on the following pages. Contact the laboratory directly for hours of operation. You can also return your completed test to a Canada Post retail outlet. Do not place the test in an outdoor mailbox. The test is time and temperature sensitive. If you cannot return the test to a laboratory or post office within 24 hours of completing the test, it should be placed in a refrigerator. The test should not be frozen.
