2 ... 3 Zoning City of St. Martinville Zoning Other Regulations... 5 In the Parish of St. Martin, it is illegal to see or serve alcoholic beverages between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. or to allow the possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Only employees are allowed to remain on premises where the sale of alcoholic beverages constitutes 60% or more of the income of the business between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. In the Parish of St. Martin, there are no laws prohibiting the sale of alcohol on Sundays. The Parish of St. Martin does have laws governing noise created by businesses. Generally speaking, you should not create a level of noise that disturbs your neighbors. For specific requirements of the noise ordinance, you should consult an attorney. Zoning In the Parish of St. Martin, it is legal for people to leave with open containers of alcohol. 3 The Parish of St. Martin does require any person dispensing or serving alcoholic beverages in any retail establishment where the principal business is the sale of alcoholic beverages within the Parish of St. Martin, licensed for on- premise consumption to file an application for a Certification of Qualification to do so with the Office of the Sheriff of. Each applicant shall appear in person at the Office of the Sheriff of St. Martin Parish during regular business hours and shall present a medical certificate from the Health Unit stating that the applicant does not have any communicable disease and documentary evidence of age. The applicant will be photographed and fingerprinted at that time. This must be done prior to beginning of employment. The Parish of St. Martin does not require any form of local server training. state- approved courses. City of Breaux Bridge In the City of Breaux Bridge, the operating hours are: Monday 6 a.m. till 12:05 a.m. Tuesday - Thursday and on Sunday 6 a.m. till 2 a.m. and on Friday and Saturday, 5 a.m. till 2 a.m. No business shall be open to the public or allow the public to remain within, or to permit the consumption of alcoholic beverages in or upon any premises in which alcoholic beverages are sold at retail during the hours within which the sale of such beverages is prohibited; provided that in case of restaurants, hotels and other retail businesses where the sale of alcoholic beverages is less than 40% of income, such establishments may be kept open for business so long as alcoholic beverages are not sold or consumed. In the City of Breaux Bridge, there are no laws prohibiting the sale of alcohol on Sundays The City of Breaux Bridge does have laws governing noise created by businesses. 4 Zoning Responsible Alcohol Service for In the City of Breaux Bridge, it is illegal for people to have open containers of alcohol on the streets, sidewalks or public property in the city within 200 yards of a lounge, barroom, restaurant, nightclub, quick shop, grocery store, or package liquor store, except within a public building. This may be suspending by the city council at the request of a civic organization for the purposes of conducting a citywide festival or fair. The City of Breaux Bridge does not require servers and managers to get local server or Bar Cards. The City of Breaux Bridge does not require any form of local server training. state- approved course. City of St. Martinville In the City of St. Martinville, it is illegal to sell or serve alcohol for on- premise consumption after 3 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It is illegal to possess or consume alcohol in an on- premise establishment after 3:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. If alcohol sales account for more than 60% of sales, only employees may remain on premise after 3:30 a.m. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year s Eve, New Year's Day and July 4th are exempt from closing hours. In the City of St. Martinville, there are no laws prohibiting sale of alcohol on Sunday. The City of St. Martinville does have laws governing noise created by businesses. 5 Zoning Responsible Alcohol Service for In the City of St. Martinville, there are no laws prohibiting the possession of an open container of alcohol. The City of St. Martinville does not require any form of alcohol server permit, Bar Card or ABO Card.
