5 SNAP-Ed / CHILE Plus Goal To increase the likelihood that families will make healthy food choices within a limited budget and choose physically active lifestyles in alignment with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

6 CHILE Plus Objectives Children and their families will: 1. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grain foods and low-fat dairy products and drink more water 2. Eat fewer high-fat foods and drink fewer sugar-sweetened beverages 3. Learn how to serve and choose foods in the appropriate portion sizes for children and adults 4. Spend at least 30 minutes every day engaged in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity 5. Spend no more than two hours per day watching TV and playing computer/video games (outside of work or school) Children aged 2-5 not more than 1 hour high-quality programming

17 CHILE Plus Physical Activity Goals Children and their families will: 1. Spend at least 30 minutes every day engaged in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity 2. Spend no more than two hours per day watching TV and playing computer/video games outside of work or school Children aged 2-5 not more than 1 hour high-quality programming At least 60 minutes of adult-led, structured physical activity every day, in addition to free play and outside time.
