When selecting where to receive care, its important patients receive a tailored treatment approach. Treatment planning and precision medicine could mean significantly improved outcomes for patients. At Hoag, our focus is the person, which is why we offer a variety of treatment options, knowing that one approach doesn t fit all. RADIATION ONCOLOGY For more than 20 years, Hoag s Radiation Oncology department has used state-of-the-art resources to develop advanced treatment plans to deliver precise radiation doses for optimal care. With patient-centered care as the focus, Hoag s Radiation Oncology Department was named in the top 1% of outpatient facilities nationwide by Press Ganey for overall patient satisfaction ratings. Hoag Radiation Oncology provides some of the most advanced planning software and treatment technology available, including state-of-the-art linear accelerators, Cyberknife, Gamma Knife Perfexion, Tomotherapy, high dose rate brachytherapy, specialty skin cancer equipment and SpaceOAR. SURGERY Hoag collaborates with a variety of skilled surgical oncologists, nursing and technician staff to offer the most advanced surgical management of cancer. Hoag surgeons offer a host of approaches, tailored to the patients need, including minimally invasive approaches utilizing the davinci robot. INFUSION CENTER Hoag Infusion Center provides care for all Hoag patients who need intravenous infusions, blood products, or medical injections. The experienced infusion staff works closely with the patient s physician to ensure seamless care. MEDICAL ONCOLOGY Medical management of cancer is an important aspect of care. Through collaboration with exceptional medical oncologists, Hoag patients can receive personalized medicine through targeted chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and access to pioneering clinical trials. CLINICAL TRIALS & RESEARCH Through a special alliance with USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, Hoag Family Cancer Institute is able to provide access to a variety of clinical trials, typically only found in an academic setting.
