1 Sparrow Cancer Center Updated Naming Opportunities $5,000,000 Sparrow Plaza Building This new four-story building, located centrally on the Sparrow Campus, will create a home for an expanded Cancer Center and other ancillary services to streamline Patient care. This flexible space can easily be adapted to next-generation technologies as they emerge. $2,500,000 Sparrow Cancer Center Generously Funded A state-of-the-art facility within the new Plaza Building offering the latest technologies and treatments, support for comprehensive care, and most importantly, providing a healing environment for our Patients on a cancer journey. Endowed Medical Director The Medical Director is the Physician Chair of the Cancer Center Team, leading the exploration of new treatment options and expanding alternatives for continuously improving Patient care. The Medical Director also oversees clinical research and the ongoing coordination of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team. $1,500,000 Plaza Parking Structure This multi-level parking structure adjacent to the Plaza Building, fronting Michigan Avenue, will offer approximately 600 new parking spaces, providing greater accessibility for visitors and offering reserved parking for Cancer Center Patients. Naming opportunities reflect proposed architectural concept as of Jan. 1, 2015 and are subject to change during final plan design.
2 $1,000,000 The W3 Plaza Generously Funded The Women Working Wonders (W3) Plaza will be a central courtyard area in the heart of the Sparrow Campus with benches, a fountain and/or sculpture, offering a place for our Patients, visitors and Caregivers to rest and revitalize. $750,000 Radiation Oncology Unit Encompassing the first floor of the Cancer Center, offering comfortable and private areas for Patients receiving radiation or other related care. Medical Oncology Unit Comprising the second floor of the Cancer Center, offering comfortable and private areas for our Patients receiving chemotherapy or other related care. Endowed Fellowship Program Opportunity to help establish an Oncology Fellowship Program that will attract and retain the brightest minds in the field while supporting the training of the next generation of extraordinary Cancer Physicians. $500,000 Green Roof Located on the Eureka Street side of the Plaza Building, over the Linear Accelerator vaults, the Green Roof deck is an environmentally-friendly design that offers our visitors a healing garden view through the South windows. Infusion Services Generously Funded A special unit within the Cancer Center comprised of semi-private bays and private rooms, nourishment stations and more, designed around the needs of Patients receiving port services and infusion treatments, which can range from one to eight hours each visit. $250,000 Learning Center Generously Funded A gathering place conducive to educating and supporting our Patients and our community, this 500 square foot space will host diagnosis-specific support groups and offer Patient-centered programs such as Healthy Steps, Look Good- Feel Better, nutrition classes, and more. Multidisciplinary Consult Center (1) Dialogue and problem-solving will be enhanced in a 350 square foot conference center offering state-of-the-science technology and interactive conferencing abilities for use by multidisciplinary specialists to evaluate Patient cases, develop treatment plans, consult with colleagues through our membership in the Mayo Clinic Care Network, and more. Advanced Technology Areas (5) State-of-the-art areas and equipment that maximize Patient care and emerging treatment options, including: Brachytherapy Suite Linear Accelerator Treatment Room (3) CT Simulator $150,000 Medical Oncology Waiting Lounge Generously Funded Designed to comfort and care for our Patients and their loved ones during each and every visit. Radiation Oncology Waiting Lounge Generously Funded Generously supported by the Sparrow Guild, this space will provide a comfortable waiting area for Patients and their loved ones. The Holmes Cancer Resource Center Generously Created Offering literature, periodicals, books, DVDs and other complimentary resources on cancer education, research and support for our guests to peruse in a quiet, comfortable environment. The Simon Endowment for Cancer Care Generously Created This endowed fund provides perpetual resources for extraordinary cancer care through ongoing support of unrestricted Cancer Center needs, including investments in facilities, technology, programs, education and more. Additional gifts are invited to further enhance the impact of this fund for perpetuity.
3 $100,000 Gowned Waiting Area Semi-private lounge within the Radiation Oncology Unit for use after gowning, before an appointment. Administrative Offices The central hub of Cancer Center day-to-day operations, this area will include office space for the Administrative Director and non-clinical staff. $75,000 Clinical Trials Core Generously Funded A dedicated office area for coordination of all clinical trials. Boutique A retail space offering wigs, accessories and other cancer care needs. Caregiver Lounge (2) Staff-only space offering lockers, private changing areas and a comfortable lounge for Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology Caregivers to take a break, change, and recharge. Care Partner Lounge Located on the second floor of the Plaza Building, this semi-private lounge will offer a place for family and friends to relax and refresh during a Patient s visit to Infusion Services. Chemotherapy Prep Pharmacy Area in which all infusion medications are prepared for our Patients. $50,000 Patient Navigator Office This office is dedicated to our Patient Navigators, supporting the diagnosis-specific needs of our Patients and helping them to navigate their treatment journey. Men s Dressing Room Lockers, dressing area and a bathroom for male Radiation Oncology Patients. Women s Dressing Room Lockers, dressing area and a bathroom for female Radiation Oncology Patients. Nursing Station (8) Centrally located stations for our internationally recognized nurses; two located in the Radiation Oncology Unit, six in the Medical Oncology Unit (four of which are adjacent to Infusion). Procedure Room (3) A procedure room within Medical Oncology (2) and Radiation Oncology (1) for bone marrow draws, etc. Family Consultation Room (6) A comfortable, private family consultation room, five within the Medical Oncology Unit and one within Radiation Oncology. Private Infusion Room (5) A private room within the Infusion Services area for those Patients with compromised immune systems or other special needs during their treatment, which can range from one to eight hours per visit.
4 $25,000 Phase 1 Clinical Trials Work Room A dedicated space mandated for Phase 1 Trials that includes a fridge/freezer and trial-specific inventory of equipment/meds. Patient Exam Room (29) Private, comfortable exam room for Patients; approximately 15 in Medical Oncology, six in Radiation Oncology, six in Multi-Diciplinary and two in Gynecologic Oncology. Inpatient Bay Reserved area within the Radiation Oncology Unit for those Patients that come from 5W (Inpatient Oncology) for specific treatment. Physician Office (9) Private offices for our Cancer Center Physicians. Patient Rep Room A private room for a Patient to speak with a Patient Care Representative. $10,000 Semi-Private Infusion Bay (36) A semi-private bay within Infusion Services (22 chemo infusion and 14 speciality infusion) offering a variety of arrangements and amenities to comfort and help Patients pass the time during treatments, which can range from one to eight hours each visit. Lab Station Offering blood draws and other laboratory services for our Oncology Patients. Treatment Planning Room Generously Funded Staff-only area within the Radiation Oncology Unit for Caregivers to conduct treatment planning for individual Patients. PA Office (3) Staff-only offices for Physician Assistants; two within the Radiation Oncology Unit and one within the Medical Oncology Unit. Nourishment Pantry A self-serve coffee and snack area for Patients and their loved ones to access during a visit to Infusion Services. Hospitality Station (2) A self-serve alcove for coffee, tea and hot cocoa; one in Medical Oncology and one in Radiation Oncology, easily accessed by Patients and their loved ones. Art Installations (multiple) Throughout the Cancer Center, art will be a catalyst to creating a peaceful, Patient-centered, and healing environment. Bench (multiple) A place to sit, whether to rest or reflect, in the central plaza and around the building. $5,000+ Donor Wall $1,000 Tile Permanent signage in the lobby/reception area will list all Campaign Donors at this level and higher, highlighting your compassionate support of those coming to us for care each day. An opportunity to have your name or that of a loved one as a permanent part of this extraordinary new facility. Concepts for this are not yet final; we look forward to sharing more detail. Other Undesignated Gifts The opportunities to help create the Sparrow Plaza Building and the new Sparrow Cancer Center are virtually endless.
