2 Q&A with HAAKON HAAKON answers questions about his life, experiences, and good memories Which words describe your personality? Open, kind, funny, charming, helpful, honest. Describe your strong sides: I love being active in different organisations that share my interests and giving a helpful hand where it is needed. I love to study and educate myself even though it is a challenge. I never give up and find joy in cheering up my friends with a good joke or by doing some fun activities. Describe your weak sides: I am very naive and I trust too much in people. Sometimes I can be a little lazy. Do you smoke? No. Do you ride a bicycle? All the time. How much alcohol do you drink on average per week? 4-6 beverages. Which countries have you visited: Poland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Scotland, Britain, Spain, Portugal, USA, Malta, Italy, Slovakia, Czech republic and Hungary. What is your marital status? Girlfriend. Do you have any children? No. Which types of sport do you play or have played? I have played soccer, swimmed and done karate. Now I sail, shoot, hunt, golf, go skiing, snowboarding and surfing. Which other types of sports are you interested in? I love sailing, hunting, shooting, kayaking and swimming. List any other hobbies you may have or have had: I paint, play the guitar and cook. I also like to walk and climb mountains List which musical instruments you play or have played: Flute and guitar. Religion: Christian protestant. How many hours of sleep do you get on an average night? 8. Do you eat healthy? I try. Describe the best holiday you have had: The best holiday I have ever had was with my mom when we were driving through Italy after a Polish-Italian wedding. We visited Venice and I have never been in a more magical place in my life. I had always imagined that Venice would be wonderful but it was more than my imagination could describe. Afterwards, we visited Rome and walked kilometers pr. day visiting all the beautiful culture and got a lot of delicious food. In Rome we dined at this small Chinese restaurant which sounds weird because normally you eat pizza or pasta when you re in Italy, but this Chinese place was really cozy and the food was really delicious and really cheap. We dined at this Chinese restaurant every night for dinner and for lunch. It was a really great holiday and the weather was amazing the whole time. What do you like the most about your own country: I like that Denmark is very cozy and that the poorest people in our country is treated with respect through our social system. The tax paid education makes it more manageable for parents who can t normally afford a good education for their children. Also, the tax paid for hospitals are a big relief for those who are injured or really sick. As a sailor I really love that we have so many islands and have the possibility to sail. Denmark is also rich in history and in culture which amazes me. Even though we have lost so many wars we are still a proud nation.
3 Q&A with HAAKON - continued HAAKON s dreams, favourites and experiences Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? My idols are Donald Tusk, Adam Smith, Nick Offerman (and his character Ron Swanson in Parks and Recreation ), Charlie Chaplin and every freedom fighter or soldier that have fought for freedom. I m mostly inspired by people who have a big interest in freedom and peace in the world. What are your goals in life? My goal in life is to get the most out of life possible and cherish and be cherished by my loved ones, and hopefully never be forgotten. I can t wait to be finish my education and get a real job, get married, have children and watch them grow up. Most dangerous: When I was in a boat accident with one of my friends when we were younger. The one who steered fell over the railing while the other one was sitting in a rubber ring, which was pulled by the boat. Luckily nothing bad happened. Greatest sorrow: When I lost my paternal grandfather. What is your favourite colour? Blue - like the ocean and the sky. What is your favourite animal? Turtles - because they eat really cute. What were your childhood dreams: My childhood dream was to be a famous lawyer and politician. Which values do you rank the highest? Freedom, respect for individuality and differences, honesty. He told me that he was grateful that I was a part of his life. Which was your greatest experience or moment? The greatest moment in my life was at a big music festival.
