He gave a special lecture on Tobacco Usage. He created awareness among students about the physical health consequences of tobacco use. He discussed how smoking tobacco affects human lives. The Awareness Programme highlighting the causes of cancer, early detection of Breast cancer, stomach cancer, uterine and cervical cancers. 3 Dr.Abirami, Nellai Cancer Care Center, Trinelveli is delivering the speech about the effects of cancer on 26/07/2017 Cancer Screening Camp Cancer screening camp was organised by Nellai Cancer Care Centre for Students, Faculty members and Public on 31/08/2017. In that camp, nearly 25 persons were screened for Oral, Breast and cervical cancers. The screening camp created awareness among the Participants. Dr.Abirami, Nellai Cancer Care Center, Trinelveli diagnosis the Pupil.
4 General Medical Camp Our Health is our greatest treasure Taking care of our health is utmost important for everyone. In order to raise the awareness regarding regular health checkups, Dr.A.V.Devasena M.B.B.S., D.C.H., Kiruba Clinic, Kovilpatti and the Students of Parimala School of Nursing, Kovilpatti had organized Free General Medical camp on 16/02/2018 for girls Students. Various health check- ups like HB level, Body mass index check & Diet advice were organized for Students. Nearly 70 girls students of Health club and National Service Scheme were participated and got prescriptions and suggestions from Doctor. She insisted the importance of Nutritional foods to the girls Students. The Students those who are attended the Medical Camp were benefitted by the Doctor s prescriptions
5 Students were participated and got prescriptions and suggestions from Dr.A.V.Devasena. Nature Club Activities Inauguration Nature Club was inaugurated by Dr.M.Murugan, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Sri Kaliswari College, Sivakasi on 28/09/2017. He delivered a lecture on Medicinal Plants Conservation and Their Utilization. He spoke about important Medicinal Plants & Herbs, which will be used for treatment of various diseases and remedy. Seminar on Perspectives and Role of Public in Water Conservation Seminar on Perspectives and Role of Public in Water Conservation was held on 31/01/2018 conducted by Mr.S.Subburayalu, Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, K.R. College of Arts and Science. Kovilpatti. He addressed about the Role of Public in water conservation. He created awareness among students about the importance of water conservation and sustainability.
