1 LEGAL NOTICE No. 158 THE ANIMAL DISEASES ACT (Cap. 364) FEES AND PAYMENTS IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Animal Diseases Act, the Director of Veterinary Services hereby amends the Fees and Payments prescribed under the said section by substituting therefor the following new Schedules: FIRST SCHEDULE FEES FOR GENERAL SERVICES 1. Testing with Mallein or Tuberculin, per head for a single or the first animal tested For each additional animal on the same occasion (i) Inoculation of dogs in an area which is not declared to be a compulsory Rabies inoculation area with rabies vaccine (Flury Strain L.E.P.) including issue of certificate, per head (ii) Inoculation of cats in an area which is not declared to be a compulsory Rabies inoculation area with rabies vaccine (Flury Strain H.E.P.) including issue of certificate, per head Compulsory Rinderpest inoculation Free 4. Compulsory Lumpy Skin Disease inoculation Free 5. Compulsory Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia inoculation.. Free 6. Animals required for observation or other scientific purposes at Department Laboratories, accommodation and maintenance Free 7. Dipping or Spraying- (i) cattle other than calves, horses and mules, per head (ii) calves, sheep and goats, per head Regular dipping or spraying of cattle under section 9 of the Cattle Cleansing Act. When the dipping fluid consits of a solution of any approved acaricide- (i) cattle other than calves, per head per month 1 20 (ii) calves, per head, per month Quarantine fees per day- (i) horses, mules and donkeys, each, not exceeding (ii) cattle, each, not exceeding (iii) sheep and goats, each, not exceeding 4 00 (iv) pigs, each, not exceeding (v) wild animals, each, not exceeding Ca

(vi) boxes of small birds containing (a) not more than 10, per box 10 (b) 11 to 50 inclusive, per box 20 (c) 51 to 100 inclusive, per box 40 (d) in excess of 100, for each bird.. (vii) day-old chickens or ducklings, not exceeding (viii) pigeons, each.. 1 Provided that there will be a minimum charge of 5 (ix) medium-sized birds, i.e. game birds, parrots, poultry (of whatever size), each.. (x) large birds, i.e. crested cranes, pea-fowl and all types of birds not previously mentioned, each.. (xi) Dogs (a) wire-haired terriers and other small breeds.. (b) pointers, bull terriers and other medium sized breeds - - (c) great danes, borzois and other large breeds. (d) bitches together with unweaned pups, per bitch- (i) wire-haired terriers and other small breeds.. (ii) pointers, bull terriers and other medium sized breeds.. (iii) great danes, borzois and other large breeds.. (e) weaned pups under six months of age.. (xii) cats (a) cats.... (b) cats together with unweaned kittens.. (c) weaned kittens under six months of age SECOND SCHEDULE FEES FOR LABORATORY ANALYSES AND EXAMINATIONS Sh. ct Sh. 1. Toxicological (I) qualitative analysis for any one specific poison except arsenic (ii) qualitative tests for arsenic Bacterial examination of foodstuffs and fertilizers- (i) general investigation for presence of pathogenic organisms, per sample (ii) isolation and identification of pathogenic organisms, per sample Cattle Dips- (i) each arsenic analysis Provided that owners of dipping tanks or sprayraces are entitled to one such analysis free of charge each calendar month for each tank or sprayrace. (ii) other analysis Provided that owners of dipping tanks or sprayraces are entitled to one such analysis free of charge every two calendar months for each tank or sprayrace.

Equine material- (i) complete blood examination Differential cell count, red and white cell count, haemoglobin estimation, packed cell volume.. 20 (ii) bacteriological examination.. 15 (iii) histological examination.. 15 (iv) virological examination (v) mineral estimation in blood and tissues (vi) faeces, urino, blood smears, skin scrapings, per sample (vii) swab examination (viii) biological examination for pregnancy 40 (ix) serological tests Provided that, in cases where in the opinion of the Director of Veterinary Services it was reasonable to have suspected disease of a type specified in section 2 of the Act, the examination shall be free. 6. Report on examination of a specimen or set of specimens of canine or feline origin, or from a captive wild animal.. Provided that, in cases where in the opinion of the Director of Veterinary Services it was reasonable to have suspected disease of a type specified in section 2 of the Act, the examination shall be free. Quadrivalent vaccines, per dose Vaccination against Type C, SAT1 or SAT2 when such vaccination is carried out at the discretion of the Director of Veterinary Services Free FIFTH SCHEDULE CHARGES FOR THE VACCINATION OF CATTLE AGAINST FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE IN ANY COMPULSORY FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE VACCINATION AREA The fees specified in this Schedule shall be paid to the Director of Veterinary Services by the owner of the animals in respect of which the services have been rendered, whether or not such services have been rendered at the request of the owner. 1. Vaccination against types 0 or A when such vaccination is carried out at the discretion of the Director of Veterinary Services and at such time and place as prearranged by the Department.. Free 2. Vaccination with Bivalent, Trivalent or Quadrivalent vaccine, where such vaccination is carried out at the time and place as pre-arranged according to a programme laid down by the Veterinary Department, per head (a) Vaccine supplied or used at any time other than in the course of a pre-arranged vaccination campaign will be charged for at the same rates as laid down in the Fourth Schedule to this Notice. (b) This paragraph shall apply to all cattle not presented for inoculation at the time and place laid down by the Veterinary Department.
