3 [17th October 2014] Supplement to Official Gazette 1573 S.I. 79 of 2014 ANIMAL AND PLANT BIOSECURITY ACT, 2014 (Act 10 of 2014) Animal and Plant Biosecurity (Animal) Declaration of Notifiable Diseases Regulations, 2014 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 137 read with section 21(1) of the Animal and Plant Biosecurity Act, 2014, the Minister of Natural Resources, makes the following Regulations 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Animal and Plant Biosecurity (Animal) Declaration of Notifiable Diseases Regulations, The diseases specified in the Schedule are declared as notifiable diseases. 3. A person who knows of or suspects the occurrence of a notifiable pest or disease in Seychelles shall, unless the person reasonably believes that the Director has already been notified of such occurrence, as soon as reasonably practicable notify, the Director of such occurrence either verbally or by any other means of communication which is practicable to that person. 4. A notifiable disease declared under regulation 2 shall be regulated disease for the purposes of section 20(1) and the importation of which is prohibited for all purposes.
