Fourweek-old Wistr rts were fed with high fructose corn syrup(hfcs) diet or HFCS diet contining +-.,,0., -3. or /,. of -psicose for / weeks. The e# ects of -psicose on body weight, food intke, totl ft nd vrious blood biochemicl prmeters were exmined. Rts fed with HFCS diet contining /,. of -psicose showed significnt reduction in body weight compred to those fed with HFCS diet. The groups given -psicose showed dose-dependent decrese in perirenl ft nd totl ft weight. These results suggest tht -psicose hs n e# ect to prevent the ccumultion of body ft ginst HFCS intke.
