3 Overview of Diabetes 2 Overview The purpose of this educational activity is to present an overview of diabetes including incidence and prevalence of diabetes, associated pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and disease state management. Subsequent courses will cover nutritional aspects of care, medications, physical activity and exercise and complications.
