Abstract: Introduction: Nowadays physical fitness among medical as well as dental college students is a questionable fact due to various reasons like unawareness of exercise, computing, TV waching, video games, fast food habits, academic stress & rat competitions etc. With this background in consider we completed present study work in dental college particularly in rural area to assess the actual physical work capacity among them. Materials & Methods: The Physical work capacity was studied in 102 student of first year BDS student of Rural Dental College, including both male as well as female students, age group ranging ( ) years. All students were divided into two groups as nonanemic (55) & anemic (47). The physical work capacity was determined by using parameters including Haemoglobin count, respiratory rate (RR), Pulse rate (PR), blood pressure (BP), & maximal work done (MWD) by using magnetically recorded bicycle ergometry. The RR, PR & BP were recorded before beginning of actual physical work immediately after onset of work & after five minutes of activity. Results: The hemoglobin level was found in anemic group 10.11±0.3gm.dl & 12.10±0.29 gm. dl in non anemic respectively. A significant increases in the value of parameters like RR (5.6), PR (7), BP (SBP 6 & DBP 1), MWD (31) was observed in anemic group as compared to non-anemic group immediately after physical activity. After 5 minutes of physical activity, all parameters showed a decrement, but slightly higher value than the normal RR (0.26), PR (1.2), & BP (SBP 0.8 & DBP 0. 1) Conclusion: Our study clearly demonstrates effects of changing socioeconomic fats, life style modifications, and stressful study pattern affecting our new generations. Introduction: There is a need of make awareness to this easy looking Nowadays physical fitness among medical as well as dental college students is a questionable fact due to various reasons like unawareness of exercise, computing, TV watching, fast food habits, video games, academic stress & rat competitions etc. The increasing burden of academic facts is a major cause stating by various studies. In India, students from Medical, Dental & other Health associated branches are facing more psychological stress along with lacking attention towards their own health. 1 fact earlier by policymakers so that the upcoming dangers can be prevented. We planned present study in dental college particularly in rural area to assess the actual physical work capacity among them & correlated facts at decentralized level. Study Design: The present study designed as Multicenter Survey based study. We randomly selected 102 Dental college students, with 60 female & 42 male students, as voluntarily 161

2 participating with their written consent obtained. We different study workers. Solodovnikov et.al chose the included the students with no any history of major illness specific features of their physical and functional like dibetes, hypertension, tuberculosis or any chronic illness. We excluded the students who were unwilling, with history of diabetes, hypertension & history of chronic illness. All students were divided into two groups as nonanemic (55) & anemic (47). 3 children and young people and emphasises that the promotion of exercise and healthy food choices should go hand in hand. A study done by Francis KT stated, the national strategy for improving the health of the American people by the year 2000, lifestyle factors such as physical inactivity are major contributors of chronic disease and disability. Despite the documented benefits of exercise in enhancing health and reducing the risk of premature death, only 1 of the 13 physical activity and fitness objectives of Healthy People 2000 has been met or exceeded. 6 Hence it is our responsibility towards students to aware them regarding lifestyle, improving quality food. Our policy makers should pay attention towards stress free study pattern that will definitely improving their physical work capacity. The study conducted by Nazeem et al documented that prevalence of childhood obesity is on rise in Indian children, highlighting the possible role of lifestyle changes along with decline in physical activity of the child with increase in income levels of parents. 7 Our aim was to assessment of their physical fitness & carried out physical work capacity by using simple, easy available parameters in Institute. In our present study, we clearly demonstrated effects of changing socioeconomic fats affecting our new generations. The effects are found in both male as well as female students. Conclusion: The study simply correlates facts affecting definitely the physical work capacity in college students specially related to healthcare sector.
