10 8 Recommended Check up for healthy living Tests and Check up BMI What it is? Regular Measurement of your height and weight to track the Body mass index It helps to determine the level of body fat. It can help a doctor determine your overall fitness and your risk of developing chronic diseases. Tests and Check up Haemoglobin What it is? It measures the amount of haemoglobin in the blood and is a good indicator of overall health of the body. If the test reveals that your haemoglobin level is lower than normal, it means you have anaemia. Anaemia can have many different causes, including vitamin deficiencies, bleeding and chronic diseases. If the test shows a higher than normal level, there are several potential causes the blood disorder polycythemia vera, living at a high altitude, smoking, dehydration, burns and excessive vomiting
11 9 Recommended Check up for healthy living Tests and Check up Random Blood Sugar What it is? A blood sample will be taken at a random time regardless of when you last ate. RBS test is done to check the glucose level and it helps in keeping track of symptoms and manage diabetes. A random blood sugar level of 200 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl) 11.1 millimoles per liter (mmol/l) or higher suggests diabetes. Tests and Check up Serum Creatinine What it is? Creatinine is a chemical waste product that's produced by your muscle metabolism and to a smaller extent by eating meat. Healthy kidneys filter creatinine and other waste products from your blood. If your kidneys aren't functioning properly, an increased level of creatinine may accumulate in your blood. A serum creatinine test measures the level of creatinine in your blood and provides an estimate of how well your kidneys filter
12 10 Recommended Check up for healthy living Tests and Check up Total Cholesterol What it is? It measure the total amount of cholesterol in your blood by taking out the blood sample This test is important for people who have a family history of high cholesterol and heart disease, over weight, have drink or smoking addiction and it helps in determining the risk of heart disease and stroke Tests and Check up Blood Pressure Test What it is? Measuring the systolic and diastolic value using various blood pressure device. High blood pressure is directly related to high health risk so a regular BP test can help in mitigating them. Regular check helps to determine health conditions, including prehypertension, high blood pressure (hypertension), low blood pressure (hypotension), heart disease or other conditions.
