2 2018 GREEN & GOLD SPORT CAMPS Welcome to another great year of Green & Gold Sport Camps! Our camps provide participants with a fun-filled and memorable sport experience in the home of the Golden Bears and Pandas. All Green & Gold Sport Camps feature a blend of sport-specific and general athletic development designed to provide your kids with the skills to explore, engage and excel in sport. Drawing upon the expertise, infrastructure and history of excellence of Golden Bears and Pandas Athletics, as well as the knowledge and research of the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation, we are able to create the best possible environment for our participants to enjoy the process of improving their athletic skills. All of our sport camp programming and age groups are consistent with the guidelines of each sport s Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework. Our exclusive access to University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas Head Coaches, some of the most successful and well-respected sport coaches in North America, has allowed us to design first-rate sport-specific curriculums for our camps. We then deliver an unparalleled sport camp experience through our accomplished Golden Bears and Pandas varsity athletes and alumni who serve as camp coaches. To complement the sport-specific training each camp participant receives, the general athletic components of each camp are taught by those same coaches through our innovative AIM Program. The AIM Program combines age-appropriate physical and mental training with purposefully selected multi-sport experiences. Our coaches lead camp participants through a number of familiar games which have been adapted to help them improve their fundamental movement skills while also improving the sport-specific skills associated with the camp they re enrolled in. These skills will serve as a platform for future participation and competition in whichever sport they choose to play. We look forward to another great summer of fun and sport!
