3 Oglala Sioux Tribe has around 900+ employees 92 of those employees participated in the challenge. OST Employees that participated

5 Participants were required to record their steps/miles on calendars.

12 Challenges/Barriers: Finding time to walk everyday Boss not willing to let us go walk Weather related conditions Needed more time like 40 days Knee injury Not enough time I lost my pedometer I would like to try again No time busy at work I was 8-9 months pregnant when I did the challenge Mostly made me motivated and had me wanting to be fit Staying focused was a challenge after the initial jump start The heat or it was cold Motivation to walk No motivation to exercise I start but don t stick to it

13 Positive Changes: That I can walk a 100 miles Walking more often Lost 5 lbs. Kept doing my walks & try to stay or eat healthy, Lost a few pounds looking forward to next challenge I am in Better shape, breathing better and feel good about myself. Start walking more I walk as much as possible to be healthy after pregnancy I lost like 40 lbs. and made me more motivated. I still continue to walk. I walked more and exercise more than I have in a long time
