Echocardiography is currently the most widespread and used imaging modality in cardiology and is an important tool for every cardiologist. I will encourage and support the idea that cardiologists involved in all imaging modalities should work for the best non-invasive diagnostic for each patient. With my experience from management of patients with arrhythmias and with genetic cardiac diseases, I will try to expand the view on the possibilities of imaging in these fields. There are great opportunities in education, research and improvement of imaging techniques within these fields and. I believe that with a united European force, as the EACVI represents, we will ensure collaboration and improvements across borders and collect the best skills and traditions from every participating country.
