1 Curriculum Vitae Dr Emily Callander NHMRC Research Fellow, NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, University of Sydney Contact Mobile: emily.callander@sydney.edu.au BIOGRAPHY My research focuses on cross-disciplinary impacts of health inequality. I have a background in applied economics that stretches across numerous disciplines including health, environmental and welfare economics. At the University of Sydney I am leading a research program focusing on multidimensional poverty measurement that is bringing Australia in line with international best practice. I am also part of a team that is leading international best practice in modelling the impacts of health on the labour force participation of individuals and flow on impacts to government and to the economy. I have an outstanding track record for an early-career academic, with 42 peer reviewed publications. I have also attracted $4,350,000 in funding for my research: two NHMRC Project Grants, a prestigious and highly competitive NHMRC Early Career Fellowship, NHMRC Doctoral Scholarship, numerous University of Sydney research student grants, and a Social Inclusion Unit Widening Participation Grant.
