2 Introduction Phase 2 of the project Phase 1 of our Homeless World Cup Glasgow Life Legacy Project saw Glasgow Life recruit 98 local volunteers to perform event volunteering roles during the Homeless World Cup event and then take part in a yearlong Legacy Project. Also during this time Glasgow Life established working relationships and partnerships with Glasgow Homelessness Network, Social Work and various homelessness organisations within Glasgow. Following on from Phase 1 of the project, Phase 2 was created to continue to work with these organisations and further build strong working relationships and links for the services users and groups that they work with and together create a lasting legacy. Glasgow Life coordinate with organisations and offer them a bespoke menu with access to various training opportunities and physical activity sessions that their service users can participate in and aid in the support of getting the inactive, active. Organisations that we linked with included: The Simon Community Turning Point Scotland Aspire Housing Association Portman Street Project Social Bite The Mungo Foundation Quarriers Inclusion Street Soccer Scotland Partick Thistle Charitable Trust Help 4 The Homeless Scottish Refugee Council

Taster Activities Culture, Sport and Learning Culture, sport and learning supported taster activities and tours were offered to all organisations that Glasgow Life worked closely with.

Glasgow Life and Coca-Cola GB. Activities range from couch to 5k, den building and ultimate frisbee. Sessions are designed to improve wellbeing and bring communities together.

3 Taster Activities Culture, Sport and Learning Culture, sport and learning supported taster activities and tours were offered to all organisations that Glasgow Life worked closely with. Some of these opportunities included our ParkLives programme, which is a programme of fun, free activity sessions taking place in 13 parks across Glasgow, delivered in partnership with Glasgow Life and Coca-Cola GB. Activities range from couch to 5k, den building and ultimate frisbee. Sessions are designed to improve wellbeing and bring communities together. Also as Part 2 of the Legacy project, Glasgow Life have pre booked and paid for 10 Velodrome sessions and 15 Bubble Football session that organisations can book at their own leisure for their service users. Coach Education Qualifications and courses Through the Legacy project money has been allocated for organisations to use towards coach educations courses such as First Aid, Safeguarding and Football courses. Organisations can book onto courses at their own leisure for their service users. This will help service users to develop their skills, confidence, social and community connections.

Glasgow Club: Access Cards Glasgow Life have been working with organisations to offer service users a supported pathway into Glasgow Club gyms.

Service users have and will continue to receive supported access to the 6 week Access Cards with potential for further extension membership options. H.M.P. Barlinnie Many of the prisoners once released find themselves in a homeless situation so Glasgow Life have been working with H.M.P. Barlinnie to set up a supported pathway into Glasgow Club for prisoners once they have been released. These prisoners would be of a specific and targeted group linking with homelessness and those of whom have demonstrated a commitment to using the gym regularly, have supported and encouraged others in their health and well-being while serving their sentence. Released prisoners will receive supported access to the 6 week Access Cards with potential for further extension membership options.

5 Participatory Budgeting As part of Phase 2 of the Glasgow Life Homeless World Cup Legacy project which runs to the 31st March Glasgow Life in partnership with the Big Lottery Fund agreed to allocate 10, towards projects that will be identified through a participatory budgeting approach. It involved organisations and service users from the Legacy Project and the Glasgow Homeless Network in the design and the decision making process. The funding was to support a minimum of 3 projects up to a maximum of 3, and eligible projects must meet one of the Legacy project outcomes. We received 13 proposals from 9 different organisations, these included the Simon Community, Turning Point Scotland, Portman Street Project, Social Bite, The Mungo Foundation, Quarriers, Street Soccer Scotland, Partick Thistle Charitable Trust and Help 4 The Homeless. There were 4 successful proposals that were supported to receive funding. These were Quarriers: Changing Attitudes, Partick Thistle Charitable Trust, Help 4 the Homeless: Cadogan Street and The Mungo Foundation: Skills Kitchen.

Creative Writing programme Glasgow Libraries, in partnership with the University of Strathclyde and the University of Glasgow, offered a 10 week programme of creative writing and mentoring programme

6 Creative Writing programme Glasgow Libraries, in partnership with the University of Strathclyde and the University of Glasgow, offered a 10 week programme of creative writing and mentoring programme where the participants had the opportunity to attend master classes with established authors. The programme culminated in participants writing their own stories and personal journeys. Participants were also offered the chance to be involved in the City Read 2018 Families project a project that focuses on the families in Glasgow that are in the bottom 10% of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation category. The project enabled families to work together with an author illustrator in creating a stories that will be published as part of the City Read. All stories will be combined and will be officially launched at the European Championships in the literacy space in Glasgow Green. Glasgow Sport Volunteer Bureau We gave organisations access to Glasgow wide volunteering opportunities through our Glasgow Sport Volunteer Bureau With the Volunteer Bureau organisations and service users will be able to find out about volunteering across Glasgow; the bureau advertises all kinds of sports volunteering opportunities whether they are in sports clubs, one-off events, coaching or administration, short term or long term. People can be involved at the level that suits them; whether it's coaching the team or welcoming people to a world class event in the city.

7 Staff Training During Phase 1 of the Life Legacy Project it became apparent that this was a new client group that not many Glasgow Life staff had worked with before. It was decided that staff training would be developed in partnership with the Glasgow Homelessness Network. The training was developed to help staff learn about homelessness, inform and support staff on how to support someone that has been impacted by homelessness, where to signpost them too and change staff perceptions of homelessness. As part of the training the following elements were been designed and created.
