1 University of California, San Diego Greek Life REACH: Recognition of Excellence and ACHievement 2014
2 How to Submit: Please turn all REACH materials into the
3 PROCESS: REACH is to be completed yearly by each Interfraternity, Multicultural Greek, and Panhellenic organization at the University of California, San Diego. It is designed to be completed over time, rather than in one sitting, and submitted in the easiest format possible. The Greek REACH Report will provide statistics for the community while fostering a culture of accountability. The requirements of this program will be evaluated and updated on a yearly basis by the Greek Life Advisors in conjunction with student input. Due dates for 2014 are as follows: Winter Quarter March 24th by 6:00 PM Spring Quarter June 30th by 6:00 PM Fall Quarter December 22nd by 6:00 PM Chapters will work to complete requirements based on three levels: Alpha, Beta, Gamma each level is assigned a point value. Every chapter will meet with the Greek Life Advisor to review their scores and progress. Chapter consultation will begin in the beginning of Winter Quarter. REACH submissions are a requirement for University recognition and will be considered as supplemental material for Greek Awards. A chapter is expected to meet or exceed the Gamma (baseline) level and score in all of the standards outlined. Chapters that fail to attain this recognition level shall be required to develop a written plan for improvement with their Greek Life Advisor. Chapters scoring a 0 (zero) in any category must also work to develop an improvement plan. The chapter will then have 2 quarters to ensure improvement. Progress will be monitored through regular set meetings with their Greek Life Advisor and chapter president. Failure to achieve marked improvement may result in sanctions. Only chapters scoring at the Alpha level will be eligible for Chapter of the Year awards. Chapters (and members there of) scoring at any level will be eligible for all other awards.
