2 Human Trafficking A Public Health Priority The Ark Alliance is committed to forging public and private-sector partnerships to better leverage the public health framework to strengthen data collection, better target public awareness and prevention campaigns, expand training to address the root causes of human trafficking and empower survivors of human trafficking.

3 Who We Are The Ark Alliance is a survivor-led network of human rights advocates collaborating through a public health framework to prevent and combat human trafficking through coordinated efforts to end the marginalization in prevention, intervention and empowerment programming for male and transgender victims and survivors.

4 What We Will Do Oversee a coordinated system of care delivery throughout the public health and human trafficking continuums in South Florida Spearhead cutting-edge research initiatives to better understand the victimization of historically under served high risk populations, specifically cisgender male and transgender youth Combat the root causes of human trafficking by administering preventative and empowerment programming for high risk male and transgender youth

5 Mission The mission of the Ark Alliance is to prevent and end the trafficking of vulnerable youth through community education and mobilization, and the provision of male and transgender-specific outreach, housing and empowerment programming.

11 Long Term Outcomes Youth will utilize confidence, developed through goal achievement and skill building, to commit to exiting the streets Youth will exit the streets to a safe and stable environment Youth will maintain self-sufficient living through utilizing appropriate supports, services and skills

16 Proposed Programs - Post Pilot Ark Outreach street and online outreach; drop-in center; community awareness and education White House co-ed safe house and residential restorative program for male and transgender adult victims and survivors of human trafficking, exploitation and sexualized violence who may also be living with cooccurring addiction and mental health disorders Iron Men Project / Gurlz PLUS empowerment program for male/transgender (respectively) survivors of human trafficking, sexualized violence and exploitation and those at risk. Components may include prevention education, support groups, linkage and referral for supports, housing, care coordination, intensive case management, advocacy and mentoring (survivor and professional), life skills, health and wellness literacy, economic empowerment, civic engagement and leadership More than Conquerors survivor-mentoring; peer support Economic Empowerment Freedom Force community education, mobilization and empowerment

23 Shoe drive fundraiser and social enterprise Projected revenue - $6000 Dates 8/16/17 to 10/15/17 Purpose to raise startup funding needed to formally register and move to planning phase Overview Engage supporters to collect gently worn, used and new shoes Collect and store shoes from supporters New and nicer shoes are separated and stored for resale Other shoes are bagged in groups of 25 and stored When shoe drive is complete, partner buys and picks up shoes Partner sends check based on total weight 40 cents per pound Partner sells shoes to villages in Haiti, Uganda and elsewhere where they are resold Funds realized from the resale helps to prevent labor and child trafficking in those areas.
