1 ancer Maps for NSW 1998 to 2002 Incidence of melanoma of the skin in males There were 8,578 new cases of melanoma of the skin diagnosed in males in NSW in 1998 to The following local government areas had higher incidence rates than the NSW average: Ballina, offs Harbour, Eurobodalla, Gosford, Hastings, Kempsey, Ku-ring-gai, Lismore, Maclean, Nambucca, Port Stephens, Shoalhaven, Sutherland Shire, Tweed, Warringah/Pittwater and Wyong.
