7 H. Pylori Symptoms The symptoms of an H. pylori infection include: Discomfort inthe upper GI especiallyupper left quadrant discomfort Bloating Nausea Maybe even vomiting. H. 10 Protein Malnutrition and Deficiency Expect to see the following: Decreased BUN (<10) Creatinine (<0.8) Total Protein (<6.9) Review diet and consider hypochlorhydria support Hydration Status Dehydration patterns Short term dehydration Increased hemoglobin ( >14.5, > 15) and/or hematocrit ( >44, >48) Increased RBC count ( >4.5, 4.9). A relative increase in sodium (>142) and potassium (>4.5) can be noted as well. Long term dehydration Above findings plus: Increased albumin (> 5.0), Increased BUN (>16) and/or Increased Serum protein (>7.4). 10
