Gary Lisbon golfphotos.com.au Agri-Vive Liquid Fertiliser for the Future Agri-Vive is a premium quality, world-class, liquid fertiliser range, using cutting edge technology to create a unique fusion between high potency N:P:K liquids and a broad spectrum of active carbon organic ingredients. Hybrid-Ag has created a very special, biologically buffered plant nutrient liquid. We begin with a base of ultra-concentrated, ph balanced hot mix N:P:K liquids, manufactured in a controlled reaction between pure, technical grade ingredients. This pure base is then reacted with unique Heptonate Chelators and Fulvic acids, a process which binds the pure N:P:K liquids into complex carbohydrate chains. This complexing totally alters the way the nutrients react, making their uptake far more efficient as well as Eco-friendly. A comprehensive range of trace elements completes the package of a class-leading liquid nutrient blend. To this very unique blend we then add liquid kelp, aloe vera, amino acids, hydrolysed fish and polysaccharides. Individually, these ingredients are very useful plant stimulants, microorganism food sources or both. Combining significant amounts of them together creates a SYNERGY where all the components together give a greater result than all of them would give if applied individually. Agri-Vive gives truly exceptional performance in the field. The natural additives in the blend, when used as a foliar spray, help adhere the nutrient solution to the leaf, allowing ample time for the nutrients to penetrate the leaf and enter the plant s nutrient transportation system. Agri-Vive has been formulated for use in both fertigation and foliar applications, with only the highest quality ingredients used. Available in a class-leading range of blends that gives you the ability to tailor the product to specifically suit your property. 10 Gary Lisbon golfphotos.com.au N 25 A Revolution in Nitrogen Application N 25 is a revolutionary Nitrogen delivery technology that drives growth and increases the mineral density of your crop. New data on the efficiency of Nitrogen uptake is revolutionizing fertilizer applications in Turf Management in Australia. Typically, Australian Green Keepers have put large amounts of Ammonium Nitrate on the ground to obtain the growth responses required, with the focus being on UNITS of N per 100 sqm. This approach pays very little regard to how much Nitrogen is actually getting into the plant. By changing this thought process and applying the Nitrogen in a dramatically more efficient manner, Green Keepers are able to significantly reduce the amount of Nitrogen used to achieve the same results. Suggested Application Rates: Foliar: Litres per Hectare. Watered in: Litres per Hectare. How is this possible? By adding the nitrogen in a specific form as a foliar applied product. The form of nitrogen found in N 25 is extremely efficient for the plant to convert to protein, thus saving it valuable energy that the plant can then put towards increased growth. N 25 increases the mineral density of the plant as the nitrogen process powers the sugar development in the plant. N 25 is also easy to use. It is a workable product suitable for liquid injection, boom spray or even fertigation, available in a range of pack sizes. Typical Analysis (w/v) Nitrogen 25.3% Fulvic Acid 5.5% Carbohydrates 12.0% Total Carbon 11.6% (See page 26 for drum label) 9 Hybrid-Ag Pty Ltd 2016
Gary Lisbon golfphotos.com.au Green-Tee Nitro Liquid Nitrogen The Importance of Nitrogen Nitrogen is one of the most important nutrients for crop growth, second only to water. Nitrogen is a component of chlorophyll which therefore makes it essential for photosynthesis. It is also the basic element of plant and animal proteins, including the genetic material DNA and RNA, and is important in periods of rapid plant growth. Most of the nitrogen is used by the plant to produce protein (in the form of enzymes) and nucleic acids. Magnesium is Essential for: Magnesium promotes winter hardiness and early growth. It is essential for nitrogen metabolism and chlorophyll synthesis, and helps the turf to utilise iron and phosphate. Turf which is short of magnesium has yellowing drooping leaves. Magnesium interacts with both calcium and potassium so should be kept in balance with those. Ideally the calcium to magnesium ratio should be about 10:1. The Role of Iron Plants need iron to produce chlorophyll and Iron is also required to activate several enzymes, particularly those involved in photosynthesis, respiration, and chlorophyll production. 12 Iron Ions are required to complete Photosynthesis, thus making it a vital part of plant respiration. Typical Analysis (w/v) Nitrogen 18.0% Iron 5.1% Magnesium 1.1% Sulphur 1.2% Fulvic Acid 4.0% Carbon Chelate 4.0% Total Carbon 11.5% (See page 26 for drum label) Suggested Application Rates: Foliar: 8-15 Litres per Hectare. Watered in: Litres per Hectare. Hybrid-Ag Pty Ltd
Gary Lisbon golfphotos.com.au Nitro-Iron Dormancy Liquid Nitrogen & Iron with Exothermic Dye The Role of Nitrogen The Role of Iron Nitrogen is the major building block in protein and chlorophyll. It is also essential for lipid and cytoplasm formation. Highly mobile in the plant, it is translocated and utilised in the growing tips. Nitrogen is vital to plant growth but can be a limiting factor in uptake of other nutrients. Nitrogen is often leached from the soil therefore regular application in low doses will ensure efficient uptake without excessive losses. Plants need iron to produce chlorophyll and Iron is also required to activate several enzymes, particularly those involved in photosynthesis and respiration, and chlorophyll production. 12 Iron Ions are required to complete Photosynthesis, thus making it a vital part of plant respiration. Typical Analysis (w/v) Suggested Application Rates: Nitrogen 4.6% Iron 4.9% Fish, Kelp, Fulvic 4.0% Foliar: Litres per Hectare. (Vary according to darkness required) Watered in: N/A Sulfur 2.2% Total Carbon + Pigment 28.8% (See page 27 for drum label) 11 Hybrid-Ag Pty Ltd 2016
Gary Lisbon golfphotos.com.au Power-Cal Complex Calcium Power Cal is based on the world s best and latest Calcium Technology for plants. Essential plant micronutrients are complexed in an organic sugar alcohol to create a highly efficient foliar trace element fertiliser. The small molecular size and delivery package containing humectants, spreading and penetrant agents further ensures that the complexed nutrients are phloem and xylem mobile. Calcium Mobility in Plants Calcium is a relatively immobile element in plants and this causes some well-known disorders. Power-Cal is specifically designed to provide calcium to plants more efficiently than other forms of calcium. Power Cal sugar alcohol complexes the Calcium ion enabling it to move into the plant via the phloem, where the sugars move more easily towards the growth forming locations. Once Power Cal Calcium reaches the protein forming tissue the sugar bond breaks down and the Calcium flows to where it is needed. Power Cal Features Builds tissue calcium levels improving disease resistance and drought tolerance Improves cell structure Improves overall quality, weight and texture Eliminates hidden Calcium deficiencies and hunger signs Contains 100% Soluble and plant available nutrients utilising the Power-Cal delivery system. Contains leaf penetrants and translocation aids to enhance root and foliar uptake Does NOT contain chlorides which can cause serious leaf injury Rapidly absorbed into the plant Calcium aids in the formation and strength of cell walls and is necessary for the development of plants. It is also required for early root growth and strong new top growth. Suggested Application Rates: Foliar: Litres per Hectare. Watered in: Litres per Hectare. (See page 28 for drum label) Typical Analysis (w/v) Calcium (as Sugar Alcohol) 8.04% Nitrogen 1.9% Chelators 14.0% Seaplant Extract 2.0% Fulvic Acid 5.0% Hybrid-Ag Pty Ltd
Wetting Agent 1.0% Car bohydrates 13.0% Gary Lisbon golfphotos.com.au Opti-Trace High Tech Trace Element Delivery Trace elements have become an acknowledged part of comprehensive plant nutrition where ideal plant health is sought after, and an enormous volume of research has been done by many plant research scientists islolating symptoms of trace element deficiencies and indexing critical levels where symptoms may not be seen, but quality and yield are affected anyway. Opti-Trace uses a complex sugar alcohol delivery system that has been adopted by Hybrid-Ag because of its unique properties that deliver more of the applied trace element to the plant in a form that is perfectly compatible to the plant s biological processes. To these cutting-edge, chelated minerals we add liquid kelp, amino acids, polysaccharides, hydrolysed fish and aloe vera. Individually, each of these ingredients are very useful plant stimulants or microorganism food sources or both. 16 Gary Lisbon golfphotos.com.au Bio Sea FKF Nutrient Power From The Ocean! There are a number of compelling reasons why extracts from the ocean are such effective plant growth enhancers. One of them is the incredible range of micro-nutrients they naturally contain. This broad spectrum of minerals has been eroded from parent rock over eons and washed into the ocean, giving the plants and animals which live there access to these 70 plus nutrients, many of which are no longer present in our agricultural soils. Many of these elements are only required in parts per billion, yet have remarkable effects on plant health. Another reason for the remarkable plant responses are the naturally occurring vitamins, amino acids and hormones which are present in these ocean extracts. These natural extracts gently stimulate the plant, creating systemic immune responses and assisting in boosting true plant health. Fish and Kelp based liquids are an invaluable source of nutrients to help with the re-mineralisation of our plants and soils. Suggested Application Rates: Foliar: 5 Litres per Hectare. Watered in: 10 Litres per Hectare. Soil Conditioning: 30 Litres per Hectare. (See page 30 for drum label) Here again, The Real Power of FKF is SYNERGY. The fish component in Bio-Sea FKF is a premium organic liquid produced entirely from sustainably harvested deep sea fish, mainly Hoki and Orange Roughy. These deep sea fish contain the highest levels of natural nitrogen of any fish, as well as having a broad spectrum trace element composition. The kelp component is the renowned Ascophyllum Nodosum seaweed, harvested from carefully managed underwater forests in the cold, clean waters off the coast of Norway. Fulvic acid is included in this unique blend because of it s amazing versatility. Like an incredible microscopic liquid sponge, fulvic acid has an enormous capacity to absorb toxins and pollutants and assist in their breakdown. 17 Gary Lisbon golfphotos.com.au Lockout Biological Disease Control There are a number of species of microorganisms that have been identified as being effective in helping to control a broad spectrum of diseases. Three that have been researched in depth, and have been proven to assist in combating disease are: Trichoderma spp. eg T. harzianum Streptomyces spp. eg S. lydicus Bacillus spp. eg B. subtilis These potentially beneficial microorganisms often produce metabolites (natural chemicals) that assist plants to grow as well as inhibiting the growth of other disease causing microbes. These beneficial microorganisms live in close association with plants root systems and produce compounds that solubilise fertilisers as well as protecting their own immediate environment (the rhizosphere) from invasion by plant disease-causing organisms. The addition of synergistic species to the soil works far better than the addition of a single species and there needs to be many of them to compete with the disease population already present. The colonisation of the rhizosphere of turf grass has proved difficult because of: Low Organic Carbon Levels, Free Draining Sands, High Levels of Daily Player & Machinery Traffic and an Intensive Fertiliser and Fungicidal Disease Management Program. (See page 31 for drum label) Industry Leaders & Innovators Hybrid Ag has been researching and developing biology and its benefits to Plant and Soil health over 2 decades. The use of biology in soils and plants is not a new science to Hybrid Ag and we have now developed a chemical-free product which stimulates the rapid formation of beneficial microorganisms in the rhizosphere of the plant. This product, based upon World 1st proprietary technology is now launched under the trade name Lockout. Lockout contains multiple strains of biology and is specifically produced for use on turfgrass using this new technology. Lockout consists of a 2 part mix made up of: Part A Liquid Innoculum Part B Powdered Innoculum Lockout has been successfully used in combatting numerous turf diseases including: Fairy Ring Fusarium Rhizoctonia Spring Dead Spot Anthracnose Dollar spot Suggested Application Rates: Curative application - 50L of liquid part A and 1Kg of powder part B per Hectare. Maintenance application - 40L of Liquid part A and 800g of powder part B per Hectare. Hybrid-Ag Pty Ltd
Gary Lisbon golfphotos.com.au Liqui-Gyp Micro Fine Mineral Suspensions Micronised Black Liquid Gypsum Regular use of gypsum is essential to the sustainability of most irrigated soils. Irrigating land eventually leads to sodicity and salinity unless extreme care is taken. Gypsum is a key ingredient for the maintenance of turfgrass on many types of soil and over a wide ph range, including sodicity (excess sodium). In addition to prevention and correction of sodicity, the benefits of Liqui-Gyp include: Micronised mineral suspensions are now firmly established as a unique nutrient delivery method that opens up a whole new set of options for delivering important minerals to plants for rapid assimilation (uptake) through either fertigation or ground spray. They provide high analysis, easy to use liquid suspensions of the key nutrients; Calcium, Phosphate, Magnesium, Sulfur and Zinc with an average particle size of 5 micron (5/1000th of 1mm). greater stability of soil organic matter more stable soil aggregates improved water penetration into soil more rapid seed emergence Ground-applied they provide useful microbe food and rapid plant feeding without the leaching problems of soluble fertilisers. They can even be foliar sprayed in some situations. Suggested Application Rates: Typical Analysis (w/v) Foliar: N/A Watered in: Litres per Hectare Calcium 15.0% Sulphur 11.0% Carbon 10.0% (See page 28 for drum label) 17 Hybrid-Ag Pty Ltd 2016
Gary Lisbon golfphotos.com.au Bird Bane Natural Bird Deterrent Birds and wildlife are naturally attracted to the vast variety of native trees and shrubs that feature in most Australian parks, gardens and golf courses. Areas that include water features are especially prone to increased populations of ducks and water birds, and to most they are a welcome sight and help add to the outdoor experience. In fact, the managers of many golf courses are active in promoting the variety of native bird species that visit the area for feeding and nesting, and in some cases are providing nesting boxes to encourage the bird population. Birds are welcome, however not in large numbers on the fairways, greens and tees. The damage that a flock of cockatoos, galahs or ducks etc. can make on the surface of a green can be quite extensive. Hybrid-Ag has developed a new product to combat these problems without harmful effects on the environment. Typical Analysis (w/v) Methyl Anthranilate 25.0% Bird Bane is irritating to the trigeminal nerves of birds which controls their taste, sight and smell. This makes anything treated with Bird Bane extremely distasteful to birds with the result that they avoid the area and in most cases don t come back for feeding as they now associate that area as unpalatable to them. (This only affects birds in this way and no other animals.) By treating only the greens, tees & fairways the Green Keeper can keep the birds off the problem areas while allowing the birds to enjoy the surrounding vegetation. Bird Bane is a proprietary blend of natural ingredients that have been tested on a number of bird species with dramatic reductions in activity on the treated area without any harm or suffering to the birds themselves. The active ingredient is a form of Methyl Anthranilate (MA) which is an extract of Concord Grape Juice a beverage that is marketed as having amazing health benefits. Suggested Application Rates: Litres per hectare. Speak to your consultant for the best rates for your application. Note: Spray immediately after mowing and ensure the solution penetrates to the grass stalk. Using high pressure will assist in achieving a small droplet size and complete blade coverage. Repeat treatment as needed after mowing until the birds are remaining off the area. Hybrid-Ag Pty Ltd
Did you know, nearly all nutrients in the soil are acted on by microorganisms to make them plantavailable? We all know plants need a NPK fertiliser in the right ratio to keep them healthy. So is that all? That would be the same as bringing up your kids on instant meals or meal replacement shakes that contain nothing but powdered protein, carbohydrates and fat, in the correct ratio. Will they grow strong and healthy with a good immune system? Probably not! People who eat a balanced, wholesome diet with plenty of fresh food and vegetables are healthy. They don't need extra protein shakes and vitamin pills or supplements. And they rarely need to see a doctor. Plants grown in rich, balanced, healthy and living soils are just the same. No need to continually feed high nitrogen and expensive fertilizers all the time. No need to always be losing the battle on pests and diseases. Plants have immune systems, too. They are actually quite good at fighting those diseases and pests themselves, provided the plants are strong and healthy. Unfortunately, most of us aren t lucky enough to have inherited the perfect soil for growing turf. So while we need to feed high energy supplements to grow great looking greens and fairways, we also need to ensure we are re-building a living, healthy soil with lots of organic matter and teeming with beneficial microorganisms. 19
So why add Sugar alcohols, Chelates, Carbohydrates, Fish, Kelp & Fulvic acid? SUGAR ALCOHOL AND CARBOHYDRATES Sugar alcohol chelation technology complexes nutrients in a form that mimics the plants own natural transportation system, increasing mobility within the plant. Adding sugars to nutrient formulations provides the plant with a carbohydrate food source that enables and stimulates the flow of nutrient to the protein forming tissues in the plant. Sugar sources are also very useful as a soil-applied food source for microorganisms. FULVIC ACID Fulvic acid is amazingly versatile. Like an incredible microscopic liquid sponge, it has an enormous capacity to absorb toxins and pollutants and assist in their breakdown. Fulvic acids have extremely small molecular size and are highly mobile within the plant, helping plant metabolism and regulating transpiration. Fulvic has a ph of approximately 4.5 FISH AND KELP Liquid fish is an excellent food source for soil microbes which facilitates nutrient release. It also provides broad-spectrum trace element fertilisation. Kelp is an amazing storehouse of over 60 naturally occurring major and minor nutrients and amino acids. It also contains complexing alginates and mannitols as well as the plant growth promoting cytokinins, gibberellins, auxins and betains. CHELATORS The use of chelators increases the stability of individual nutrients while decreasing natural loss or locking-up. A chelate is an organic compound composed of a nutrient ion and a chelating agent. A chelating agent is a substance that works like a claw, surrounding the nutrient in an organic ring. Hybrid-Ag uses both sugar alcohol and Heptonate sequestrating agents that deliver the nutrients to the plant in a form that is more compatible with the plant s biological processes. 20
