Farm-O-San offers practical and easy to use products that are free of antibiotics and other medication and are suitable for use over multi species. Within the Farm-O-San range for ruminants there are products for calves, cows and sheep as summarized below. Farm-O-San Calf Products: Pulmosure Farm-O-San Pulmosure, a complementary feed for calves and older cattle, contains an essential oil that supports breathing and clearing of the airways. Farm-O-San Pulmosure also contains a natural form of vitamin E and organically bound selenium in order to support the immune function. Rediar Farm-O-San Rediar is a dietetic feed for calves, developed to stabilize the water and electrolyte balance in case of digestive disorders (e.g. diarrhoea). It is palatable and forms a unique gel in the intestine of the calf. The added probiotic in Farm-O-San Rediar supports the bacterial balance in the intestines. PowerFit Farm-O-San PowerFit is a dietetic feed for stabilizing water and electrolyte balance. Suitable for use in calves becoming dehydrated as a result of high temperatures and/or stressful situations (e.g. during transport). Farm-O-San PowerFit is easy to use and is effective for rehydrating calves.

3 Introduction Calforte Farm-O-San Calforte is a complementary feed that supports the development of the calf. It contributes to healthy intestinal flora through the lactic acid bacteria it contains and the vitamins included help support the calf s resistance. Other products available in the Farm-O-San Range: Reviva Farm-O-San Reviva is a complementary feed for cows. The tasty energy drink with a good uptake for freshly calved cows to replenish water and mineral loss. Reviva also contains added vitamins. Providing Reviva immediately after calving contributes to the cow s activity and stimulates earlier roughage intake. Pro-Keto Farm-O-San Pro-Keto is a dietetic feed for high performing dairy cows, based on propylene glycol and glycerine. Farm-O-San Pro- Keto supports the high yielding dairy cow with glycogen energy to reduce the risk of ketosis. Ewe Reviva Farm-O-San Ewe Reviva is an easily digestible, highly palatable energy drink for freshly lambed ewes, containing dextrose as one of the energy sources. It quickly rehydrates and replenishes mineral loss in the ewe and helps to keep blood calcium at normal levels. Farm-O-San Ewe Reviva also contains added vitamins. Kubilam Does your lamb need colostrum but it s not available? Farm-O-San Kubilam, a feed material for newborn lambs, is a colostrum replacer and is a safe alternative to natural colostrum. It contributes to the development and resistance of the lamb immediately after birth.

4 Pulmosure The respiratory tract of calves is challenged the most from the fourth to sixth weeks of life onwards, sometimes up to an age of 10 months. Changing weather conditions, high humidity (> 80%), large temperature differences between day and night and a poor housing climate may have a negative effect on the condition of the airways of calves. Inadequate ventilation, crowded housing, mixing calves from different sources and transportation may result in a decrease in the calves respiratory condition. Farm-O-San Pulmosure is a complementary feed for calves containing an essential oil that supports breathing and clearing of the airways. Farm-O-San Pulmosure also contains a natural form of vitamin E and organically bound selenium in order to support the immune function. Administration and directions for use Read the instructions on the product label for directions on product usage. Ensure optimum ration and use Farm-O-San Pulmosure either mixed in the feed or as topdressing. Provide Farm-O-San Pulmosure to the whole group of calves at the same time. Administer a daily dose of 12.5 grams per 100 kg body weight for a period of 1 to 3 weeks. Feed only for 10 days at housing. Preferably do not apply Farm-O-San Pulmosure via milk. One measuring spoon is 25 grams.

6 Rediar Diarrhoea forms a major threat in the first weeks of life of a calf. It is the leading cause of calf dehydration and reduced growth. Sufficient uptake of colostrum is essential. Housing, hygiene and other management factors such as the preparation of the milk replacer, the serving temperature of the milk and the placing of the teat bucket are also important. Farm-O-San Rediar is a dietetic feed for calves, developed to stabilize the water and electrolyte balance in case of diarrhoea. Farm-O-San Rediar forms a gel in the intestine of the calf and contains a probiotic that supports the bacterial balance in the intestines. Administration and directions for use Read the instructions on the product label for directions on product usage. Use Farm-O-San Rediar in case of diarrhoea in calves up to 6 months. One measuring cup is 100 g. At the first signs of diarrhoea, feed milk (replacer) with 25 g of Farm-O-San Rediar added per litre. Administer this for a maximum of 3 days. In case of more severe problems, prepare a Farm-O-San Rediar solution by mixing 50 g of powder per litre of water (40 C). Withdraw the milk (replacer) and feed 2-3 litres Rediar solution, 2 to 3 times per day for a period of up to of 2 days. After that, slowly re-introduce milk feeding by adding 25 g of Farm-O-San Rediar per litre of milk.

8 Powerfit Under certain circumstances, the fluid balance of young calves can be disturbed due to high temperatures and stress situations (e.g. transport). This causes a loss of body salts and reduces the condition of the calf. This result is in the calf drinking less, reduction of growth and even death. Farm-O-San PowerFit is a dietetic complementary feed for calves up to 6 months of age that can be used to stabilize the water and electrolyte balance. Farm-O-San PowerFit contains dextrose which supplies energy to offer optimal support for the calf. It is easy to use and is effective for rehydrating calves. Administration and directions for use Read the instructions on the product label for directions on product usage. Use Farm-O-San PowerFit in cases when animals become dehydrated due to a rise in temperature and/or stress situations. Start providing Farm-O-San PowerFit before calves are transported or exposed to stress situations. Make a fresh mixture for each application. Mix 50 grams Farm-O-San PowerFit in 1 litre water (min. 40 C). Drinking temperature C. Feed ad libitum for several feedings. After recovery slowly turn over to milk replacer. Supply extra water between feedings added with 25 gram Farm-O-San PowerFit per litre. Administer at least for 2-3 days, with a maximum of 7 days.

Farm-O-San Calforte contains dextrose, an easily digestible source of energy, vitamins, spray-dried egg-white powder and probiotics. It is available as a highly palatable gel. The use of probiotics can help to promote a healthy intestinal flora and ensures a good balance between positive and negative bacteria in the intestines. Administration and directions for use Read the instructions on the product label for directions on product usage. Farm-O-San Calforte needs to be administered to calves directly after birth. Apply one tube of 30 ml immediately after birth. Repeat where necessary for weaker calves. Due to its higher content of Enterococcus faecium and vitamin D3 compared to complete feeds, this complementary feed may only be fed to calves up to the age of 6 months and must not exceed 8.0% of the daily ration.
