1 FCF Lamb Feedlot Concentrates Vitamin, mineral & protein supplement for lambs Lambs grown in intensive feedlot environments require carefully balanced diets for efficient and costeffective growth. A well-designed diet contains more than the energy and protein found in traditional cereal and legume mixes made on-farm. FCF Lamb Feedlot Concentrates are the ideal way to balance home mixed grains to improve the growth rates, and the overall profitability of sheep fed in intensive feeding systems. FCF Lamb Feedlot Concentrates are available in 3 formulations, in either pelleted or loose form, for a variety of feeding situations: FCF EconoGro 20 for Lambs a budget concentrate for mixing with cereal grains and legumes; FCF ProGro 60 for Lambs for mixing with cereal grains and legumes; FCF CanGro 80 for Lambs for improved performance from cereal grain and legume mixes; FCF OptiGro 80 for Lambs for mixing with cereal grains when other protein sources are limiting. Designed using the latest in ruminant nutrition research, FCF Lamb Feedlot Concentrates contain a range of macro & trace minerals (including organic trace minerals), vitamins, antioxidants, buffering, urinary acidifier, and a rumen modifier, all selected based on their effectiveness in maximizing animal performance. When used according to directions, FCF Lamb Feedlot Concentrates will provide the animal with a nutritionally balanced diet. FCF Lamb Feedlot Concentrates are available as either pellets or loose premixes in: Bulk 1000kg Bulka Bags 20kg EZY-Tear Bags Frankling Custom Feeds understand every customer has unique requirements and goals. We are specialists in custom feeding programs and happy to customize our feeds to meet your individual needs. FCF EconoGro 20 for Lambs also contains a rumen buffer as an aid in reducing acidosis, a urinary acidifier to reduce the incidence of urinary calculi, and lasalocid sodium (Bovatec ) as a coccidiostat and to improve feed conversion efficiency. Recommended inclusion rate is 20kgs of FCF EconoGro 20 for Lambs with 980kgs of cereal grains and legumes to make 1 tonne of finished feed. Under certain feeding conditions, additional buffering and protection against urinary calculi may be required, as well as supplementation with additional macro minerals (ie. Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium). When high growth rates are desired, or if protein in the diet is limiting, it is recommended that FCF CanGro 80 for Lambs or FCF OptiGro 80 for Lambs be used in place of FCF EconoGro 20 for Lambs. For more specific feeding instructions please contact Frankling Custom Feeds. When introducing grain, or making significant changes to the diet, care must be taken to avoid digestive upsets. Stock must have access to a suitable source of effective fibre (eg palatable cereal straw) and clean, fresh water at all times. While a flavouring is included for palatability, when used in self-feeders it may be necessary to gradually increase inclusion rate to avoid refusal. Packaging and Availability FCF EconoGro 20 for Lambs is available in pelleted form in: Bulk Bulka Bags 1000kg 20kg bags FCF EconoGro 20 for Lambs is made from a selection of the following ingredients: Wheat, Barley and products derived from these ingredients. 4 FCF ProGro 60 for Lambs A vitamin, mineral & protein supplement for lambs antioxidant in conjunction with Selenium. Trace minerals including Chromium, Cobalt, Iron, Iodine, Manganese, Selenium, and Zinc. FCF ProGro 60 for Lambs does not contain added Copper. Macro minerals including Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Sulfur, Potassium, Sodium and Chloride. Balanced Amino Acids Lysine and Methionine these amino acids are generally accepted as the limiting amino acids in production focused ruminant diets. With a well balanced diet, the rumen can supply adequate amino acids (in the form of microbial protein) to meet the animal s requirements, but until the rumen is functioning adequately (including when a rumen upset has occurred) ruminants will benefit from amino acid supplementation. Organic Minerals Supplementing animals with organic minerals has long been recognized to improve animal health and performance. FCF Premium Lamb Creep Feed contains: o Sel-Plex - an organic Selenium yeast. Organic selenium is beneficial as an antioxidant when used in combination with Vitamin E, and has also been shown to improve immune system performance; o Bioplex Cobalt for increased availability in the rumen. Cobalt is essential for the production of B-group vitamins in the rumen; o Organic Chromium Chromium has been demonstrated to improve the glucose status of ruminants. Glucose is beneficial for growth rates, meat quality, and during periods of heat stress Rumen Health Rumen buffering is achieved using Acid Buf, a natural product that buffers the rumen against ph changes longer than traditional buffers such as sodium bicarbonate or sodium Bentonite. Acid Buf also supplies calcium and magnesium, reducing the amounts of macro minerals required to meet the desired mineral targets. This frees up space in the mix for other nutrients. Bovatec Bovatec (Lasalocid sodium) is included as: o An aid in the reduction of faecal shedding of coccidia (Eimeria spp.) in sheep maintained in confinement; o An aid to improve liveweight gains and feed conversion efficiency in sheep. Packaging and Availability FCF ProGro 60 for Lambs is available in pelleted and loose forms, in: o Bulk o Bulka Bags 1000kg o 20kg EZY-Tear bags FCF ProGro 60 for Lambs is made from a selection of the following ingredients: Wheat, Barley and products derived from these ingredients.
