2 FOOTMOTION PLATING SYSTEM Indications: The Footmotion Plating System is intended for arthrodeses, fractures and osteotomies fixation and revision surgeries of the foot in adults. Contra-indications: Serious vascular deterioration, bone devitalization, Pregnancy. Acute or chronic local or systemic infections. Lack of musculo-cutaneous cover, severe vascular deficiency affecting the concerned area. Insufficient bone quality preventing a good fixation of the implants into the bone, Muscular deficit, neurological deficiency or behavioral disorders, which could submit the implant to abnormal mechanical strains. Allergy to one of the materials used or sensitivity to foreign bodies. Serious problems of non-compliance, mental or neurological disorders, failure to follow post-operative care recommendations. Unstable physical and/or mental condition. EXAMPLE OF APPLICATIONS Medial Lisfranc arthrodeses Dorsal Lisfranc arthrodeses Talo-navicular arthrodesis Opening base wedge osteotomy Plantar Lapidus arthrodesis Straight plates st MTP arthrodesis The size of the straight plate to be used is up to the surgeon and depends on the indication. TECHNICAL FEATURES PRECONTOURED IMPLANTS The design of these implants is the result of a proprietary state-of-the-art mapping technology to establish the maximum congruence between the plate and the bone. 3 TECHNICAL FEATURES FIXATION AND SCREW FEATURES One type of hole for two screw diameters: Locking (SLT.8Lxx and SLT3.5Lxx) and non locking screws (RLT.8Lxx and RLT3.5Lxx). Ø.8 mm locking screw (SLT.8Lxx) Ø.8 mm non locking screw (RLT.8Lxx) The screw head is minimally invasive and buried in the plate () so as to limit the risk of soft tissue irritation. The hexalobe screw recess design improves torque transmission and ability to cope with difficulty arising from screw insertion into the bone. Ø3.5 mm locking screw (SLT3.5Lxx) Ø3.5 mm non locking screw (RLT3.5Lxx) Hexalobe screw recess design MONOAXIAL SELF-LOCKING SYSTEM Features: Results: The threads under the screw head and inside the hole have strictly the same characteristics (): - Cylindrical internal thread profile. - Cylindrical external thread profile. Screw head cap (), Plate and screws are all made of titanium alloy Low profile assembly: - The screw head is stopped in the hole by its cap, ensuring the locking (3), - The screw head is buried in the plate (4).
