3 Our Medical Director Prof. Günter Ochs MD Medical Director and Head of Neurology Professor Ochs completed his medical studies at the Universities of Freiburg, San Diego (USA) and Hamburg. His further training as a neurologist took place at the University Hospital Klinikum Rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich, and at Großhadern Hospital of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. He qualified as a professor with his research relating to an innovative treatment for severe spasticity. His scientific focus was on neurodegenerative conditions, neurophysiology and pain research. After many years as a consultant at the neurology department of the University Hospital Würzburg, Professor Ochs then took up the position of head of the neurology department at Ingolstadt Hospital, where he not only upgraded the department, but also established and was head of a department for neurological rehabilitation. Most recently he was full-time medical director and deputy managing director of Ingolstadt Hospital. Professor Ochs is a member of the Germany Society of Neurology as well as of several other professional societies.
