1 SUNY Cortland Psychology Department Faculty Highlights -Faculty in varied areas: normal and abnormal development, social/personality psychology, behavioral neuroscience, cognition, and emotion, as well as several areas of applied psychology such as counseling, educational and school psychology, forensic psychology, health psychology, and psychopharmacology. -Active labs with undergraduate RAs involved in planning studies, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting/publishing findings -Recent faculty publications include scholarly books as well as peerreviewed articles in such journals as: Brain Research Psychopharmacology Journal of Attention Disorders Adolescent Research Review Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback Identity Infant Behavior and Development

For example: we have examined how attention is impaired during cell phone conversations, how inlab assessments of attention relate to the way individuals attend to things in real-world, and how induced mindfulness might affect specific attention abilities.
