1 AWARENESS OF ILL-EFFECTS ON DRINKING & SMOKING ON YOUTH Ms. Nikita Thukural, Mr. Shubham Dalavi,Mr. Santosh Yadav, Mr. Pravin Thorat ABSTRACT- In The present Era, drinking and smoking has became very common and severe especially among the youth. Cigarette smoking & drinking commonly co-occur among Youth. Youth is a population that is at high risk for developing alcohol & nicotine use disorders. As many of the youth get addicted due to the stress or some of them due to their friend circle. The study is conducted to spread the awareness among the Youth regarding ill-effects of drinking & smoking on health of Youth which affects them internally or externally. Best on the finding on the present study it is important for future prevention & intervention efforts to consider social settings & heightened stress among youth as a potential risk factor for engaging in con-current drinking & smoking. INTRODUCTION: Drinking & Smoking affects more than just an individual it can destroy anything in its path, including its friendship & relationship. Cigarette smoking is the leading cause of preventable death in the united state. Nearly quarterly of the youth drink and smoke. Its is seen that heavy drinking affects more than just an individual it can destroy anything in its path, including friendship and relationships. Smoking and drinking problem begin to arise when Youths drink and smoke excessively and puts their health and the health of other at risk. Several consequences associated with heavy drinking and smoking. In additional to health problems smoking and drinking also has a significant fiscal impact on the youth OBJECTIVE: To know the consumption level of smoking and drinking of youth. To know the attitude drinking and smoking of majority of youngsters. To spread the awareness among the youth about ill-effects of drinking and smoking on health. Hypothesis: Majority of youth between & consume alcohol and smoke cigarette. Majority of youth under impression that smoking helps to beat stress. 12

Research methodology: Research Method: - Casual And Descriptive research Sources of data: - The present is conducted with the help of primary and secondary sources. Primary data: - The primary data is collected with the help of questionnaires. Secondary data: - secondary data is collected with the help of internet. Social Awareness: Conclusion: The study has addressed to major social issues smoking and drinking and is especially how these issues are affecting the youth generation. The finding offers a lot of food for thought and possible action on the part of creating the awareness of ill-effects of drinking and smoking on the youth. The best way to do that is to have some several strong strategies on how to say No when offered alcohols and cigarettes. As we know that smoking and drinking are financially and socially harmful to body. Majority youth between the age of and Consumes alcohol and smoke cigarettes. It is seem that some of the youth feel cool in the friend circle due to smoking and drinking. Despite thousands of programmers to reduce youth smoking and drinking & hundreds of thousands of media stories of dangerous of tobacco & alcohol use, generation to generation continues to use this deadly products,& family after family continues to suffer devastating consequences.
