There are many names for smokeless tobacco like chewing tobacco, moist snuff and dry snuff Wet or moist snuff. It is used by taking a "pinch" and putting it between the cheek or the lower lip and the gum, where it sits until the nicotine in the tobacco is absorbed through the inside of the mouth. Moist snuff can also be purchased in portioned teabag-like sachets that can be put directly in the mouth as well. Dry snuff is sold as a powder that can be inhaled directly into the nose where the nicotine contained within can quickly move into the bloodstream. Chewing tobacco is a form of smokeless tobacco that is typically sold in pouches of loose tobacco leaves fashioned into long strands or twists. Referred to as "plugs," "twists" or "wads," a small amount of chewing tobacco is put between the cheek or the lower lip and the gum or teeth and chewed. This releases the nicotine in the tobacco, which is absorbed through the inside of the mouth.
When our parents were young, people could buy cigarettes and smoke pretty much anywhere even in hospitals! Ads for cigarettes were all over the place. Today we're more aware about how bad smoking is for our health. Smoking is restricted or banned in almost all public places and cigarette companies are no longer allowed to advertise on TV, radio, and in many magazines The cigarette, a paper-wrapped roll of delicately cut tobacco Nicotine is an addictive drug found in cigarettes. Approximately 80 percent of adult smokers started smoking before the age of 18.
Nicotine is a potent found in the nightshade family of plants. It is made in the roots and accumulates in the leaves of the plants Smoking or chewing tobacco makes people feel good. While there are thousands of chemicals in the tobacco plant (not to mention those added by cigarette manufacturers) nicotine produces all the good feelings that draw people back for another cigarette or plug of tobacco. when people use tobacco they say the nicotine gives them a buzz. In the united states you have to be only 18 years old to purchase and use tobacco.
Peer pressure Example of parents Popularity Stress Depression and etc...
Nicotine, the drug that makes tobacco addictive, goes to your brain very quickly. Tobacco stains your teeth and gives you bad breath. Tobacco ruins some of your taste buds, so you won't be able to taste your favorite foods as well Smoking increases your heart rate and blood pressure and causes heart disease and heart attacks. Tobacco can cause emphysema a (lung disease) and lung cancer. Less blood and oxygen flows to your muscles, which causes them to hurt more when you exercise or play sports.
You can find a substitute such as sugarless gum, hard candy, beef jerky or sunflower seeds. Right in a journal or diary why you want to stop and how you plan to also right your goals for the future.
The nicotine found in cigarettes and in smokeless tobacco is a powerful, addictive drug that acts on several parts of the body Almost half of the world's children breathe air polluted by tobacco smoke The tobacco industry spends more than 10 billion dollars a year on marketing its product in the U.S Nicotine reaches the brain within 10 sec after smoke is inhaled

My great grandpa started smoking when he was 16 years old and didn t stop until 2 years before he died. He develop a disease called Emphysema which Is a lung disease. He had all kinds of problems before he died he was so sick all the time. He had to do breathing treatments every day and he couldn t walk. When my grandpa would smoke it didn t only effect him it effected our whole family because we were very close to him so when he died it was hard. He died at the age of 74. If he never would have tried his first cigarette he most likely would still be alive.
