6 Dear Colleagues, Patients, Advocates, Stakeholders and Friends! We are together again in Budva, Montenegro to celebrate the 8 th ADRIATIC DRUG ADDICTION TREATMENT CONFERENCE and 16 th SEEA (South Eastern European Adriatic Addiction Treatment Network) SYMPOSIUM ON ADDICTIVE BEHAVIOURS and to be a part of the premier addiction treatment conference in the region. In the last few years SEEAnet has organised joint international conferences with Global Addiction Association and numerous other events in the region. We have been included in developing treatment programms and trainings in Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe. Knowledge and experience from SEEAnet region have been so shared internationally. Addictions continue to remain in the front of medicine and other sciences and practices as the reaction to new challenges in this field in our changing world. We are proud to welcome you again as you have wished in beautiful city of Budva together with many colleagues throughout SEEA region and widely. Hopefully SEEAnet 2017 is a meeting that anyone concerned with the people who benefit from our services wants to attend. Our main conference topics are treatment of drug users with comorbidities and cooperation with drug prevention, harm reduction, treatment and rehabilitation programs, especially psychiatric but not at all excluding other medical, social, educational, law enforcement and other services and NGOs in the region, specially Montenegro, treatment of people who use new psychoactive substances, treatment of Hepatitis C, different practices trough the region, treatment in prisons and use of medical cannabinoides. The conference site, Hotel Mediteran in Becici, Budva, Montenegro, is just a step from the beautiful Adriatic coast, so be sure to take some time to enjoy the warm Mediterranean autumn where you have wanted to return again. 8 BERNARDA BAJEC (34) Bachelor of Health Care and Nursing was born on in Ljubljana and is employed at Clinic for Infectious Diseases and Febrile Illnesses, University Medical Center Ljubljana since From the beginning she is an active member of specialized team of medical nurses working on project of Hepatitis C treatment. With her knowlege and experience she acts an important role in sucess of treating patience with Hepatitis C disease. She received her master degree on Internal medicine at Medical Faculty in Skopje in 1987, and PhD degree on medical science from University in Belgrade, in She is the author and coauthor of more than 110 professional publications. She has also authored a number of research articles in space of Clinical Toxicology. She is a member of several professional organizations including Eurotox. She is teaching medical students since 1990 and has subsequently developed teaching and curriculum programs and mentored both medical students and junior doctors at Medical Faculty in Skopje. She currently teaches medical students masters toxicology and population health students in addition to coaching basic and advanced physician trainees. I joined ARAS two years ago as a collaborator on physical recovery programs, based on a mix of yoga, qigong and western medical exercises. Since 2011 I have been working as a physical therapist on different projects on the recovery field, especially on neurological recovery. Also I volunteered for a center for abandoned children where I worked on spasticity, autism and other various conditions, including Down syndrome. Today I am part of the ARAS s methadone team that provides substitution treatment and care services within two OST centers in Bucharest. MOJCA HVALA CERKOVNIK (41) has been employed at the Centre for Treatment of Drug Addiction, Ljubljna,University Psychiatric Hospital in Ljubljana since She has MA in Sociology and is a PhD candidate in Sociology. In 2006 she completed the specialisation study programme at the Social Chamber of Slovenia and is now a licensed supervisor. The latter involves complementary activities in the fields of social protection, health care, as well as cooperating with various non-governmental organizations, public institutions, occupational activity centres and working in the area of justice administration. She has been carrying out individual, group, team and dyadic supervision, along with conducting experiential workshops that include supervision, individual and team counselling. 11 LILJANA IGNJATOVA (38) is head of the Center for Prevention and Treatment of Drug Abuse and Abuse of the Other Psychoactive Substances and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Medical psychology at the Medical faculty of the University St.Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. She received her master degree on psychiatry in 2006, and PhD degree on medical science in 2010 at Medical Faculty in Skopje. Liljana Ignjatova is author and coauthor of more than 160 articles, manuals, guidelines, brochures and leaflets in the subject of drugs and addiction and has organized and participated in many national and international conferences and seminars on the same subject. She became a founding member of the SEE Adriatic Addiction Treatment Network and is currently on its Board of Directors. Po z odliko končani osnovni in Srednji zdravstveni šoli sem po želji nadaljevati študij iz področja zdravstvene nege uspešno diplomiral leta 2006 na Zdravstveni fakulteti v Ljubljani in kmalu zatem dobil zaposlitev v UPK Ljubljana. V UPK Ljubljana sem zaposlen od leta 2008 in trenutno delam v enoti Centra za zdravljenje odvisnih od prepovedanih drog, na Grablovičevi ulici 48. Delo z odvisnimi pacienti me izjemno veseli in kot vodja zdravstvene nege na oddelku za detoksikacijo s svojim znanjem prispevam k kakovostni obravnavi odvisnega pacienta od prepovedanih drog. Tekom zaposlitve sem delal še na UKC Ljubljana na Kliničnem oddelku za kirurške okužbe, kjer sem pridobil veliko izkušenj iz področja kirurške oskrbe pacienta. V letu 2014 sem bil izvoljen v naziv strokovni sodelavec za področje zdravstvene nege Zdravstvene fakultete v Ljubljani. Ves čas svoje zaposlitve aktivno sodelujem pri predajanju znanja študentom zdravstvenih fakultet v kliničnem okolju, kar me zelo veseli. V letu 2016 sem uspešno zaključil magistrski študij zdravstvene nege na Fakulteti za vede o zdravju. Na vseh omenjenih področjih, kjer sem že delal, sem si pridobil zelo veliko izkušenj pri delu z ljudmi ter ob tem pridobil veliko znanja za kakovostno delo v zdravstveni negi. My name is Ivo Jambrosic and I was born in Novo mesto. After the completion of the Primary School and Secondary School of Nursing, I continued to pursue studies in the field of nursing. I graduated in 2006 at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Ljubljana, and soon after graduation got a job at University Psychiatric Clinic Ljubljana. I have been employed at University Psychiatric Clinic Ljubljana since 2008 and currently work in the Detox ward of the Centre for treatment of drug addiction at Grablovičeva 48. Working with addicted patients really interests me and with my knowledge as a head of nursing at the Detox Ward I contribute to the quality of treatment of the patients addicted to illicit drugs. Since I started my career, I also worked at University Medical Centre Ljubljana at the Clinical Department of Surgical Infections, where I gained extensive experience in the field of patient care. In 2014, I was elected to the title of professional associate in the field of nursing care at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Ljubljana. Throughout my career I actively participate in the transfer of knowledge to students of nursing faculties in a clinical environment, which is very pleasing to me. In 2016, I have successfully completed my Master s degree in Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences. Pozvan od rukovodstva Glavnog grada Podgorica da vodim strucni program u rehabilitacionom centru za zavisnike na Kakarickoj gori u Podgorici. U pediodu od 2006-te do 2008-me radio kao psihijatar u Centru za mentalno zdravlje u okviru DZ Podgorica. U periodu od 2008-me do danas radim u rehabilitacionom centru za korisnike psihoaktivnih supstanci na Kakarickoj gori.bio sam rukovodilac strucnoga tima. Trenutno zamjenik direktora. MAŠA KLEŠNIK (33) I am an infectious diseases resident; currently in my 5th year of residency and my main field of interest within infectious diseases are viral hepatitis. It is since last year that I have started working with patients that are infected with hepatitis B and hepatitis C. I also received training in transient elastography, so I am now one of the doctors regularly assessing liver fibrosis in chronically infected patients at University Medical Centre Ljubljana.
