2 Dear Colleagues and Guests It is my honor and pleasure to invite you to participate in the First Regional Conference of Physiotherapists in Skopje, Macedonia. The aim of the conference is exchange of experiences, affirmation and convergence of the modern physiotherapy to the society and the individual as well as improvement of the work system of the physiotherapists and recognition of the real values of the profession. The new approaches introduce new knowledge and new skills which are completely unused in the health sector in Macedonia. Both on individual level and in teamwork, the physical therapists with their formal and informal education are not recognized in the health system. Analyzing the chronology of events in our country, we can easily conclude that the local personnel are losing the race with the modern achievements and they are not sufficiently familiar with the possibilities of application of the modern physiotherapy. With emphasis on continued lifelong learning, the Conference opens new chapters of perception for the future colleagues and is a base for exchange of leading contemporary knowledge in the region. The aim of the Conference is to establish it as a guide to continuous values. Lecturers on this Conference are the leaders of the profession in the region and their closest collaborators, who cooperate with the Professional Association of Physiotherapists of Macedonia for a longer period of time. They are colleagues who can introduce practical experiences from their countries and with high level of professionalism. The lectures will contain specific examples from domestic practice and personal experiences, with particular emphasis on proposed solutions that will have a positive effect on the future of the physiotherapy. 10 REGISTRATION FEE The Association of Professional Physiotherapists of Macedonia organizes the First Regional Conference of Physiotherapists. We invite all interested physiotherapists to take part in the Conference. The registration fee for all physiotherapists attending the Conference is 1000 MKD or 15. The fee includes: - ID card and Conference material; - 2 coffee breaks; and - Certificate of participation. The Association provides a possibility for the colleagues physiotherapists who wish to attend the Conference and do not want additional expenses, can do so by paying only 100 MKD for issuance of ID card due to registered presence at the Conference. The second option does not oblige the organizer to issue Conference materials.
