3 You're not eating often enough You've probably heard doctors and dieticians say that rather than eating three big meals a day, you should eat five smaller ones. There's a very good reason they give that advice. Eating smaller meals helps keep your blood sugar steady all day long, rather than overloading your system with three big meals during the course of the day. Your best bet? Protein bars. These tend to be low in calories, sugars and carbs. They provide enough of what your body needs to keep you from suffering from that midday energy crash, while providing your body with a steady stream of nutrients throughout the course of the day. In addition to that, science has shown that people who eat five smaller meals a day tend to have a higher metabolism than those who only eat three times a day, which means your body will burn more calories all day long, every day, and that's the secret to losing weight steadily and consistently.

4 Do ab fiexes You can do these simple exercises right at your desk, while you're working. Start slow, and just do as many reps as you feel comfortable doing, but try to build the number you do per set up a little bit each week. Try to start with a set of five reps. More if you're able, but that's a good place to begin. To perform the flex, simply sit up straight and contract your abdominal muscles, holding them contracted to a slow ten count, then relax them. Take a deep breath and repeat until you've finished the set. If you can do three sets, every day, while you're working, you'll see a big difference in your waist line.

5 Raise your glucagon level Glucagon is a hormone, like insulin. The two are opposites. The higher your insulin level, the lower your glucagon level, and vice versa. To raise your glucagon level, cut back on sugar and artificial sweeteners. The less you eat, the lower your insulin levels, which will increase your glucagon. What glucagon does is, it travels through the body turning fat into energy. The more of this hormone you have, the faster you lose fat. 6 Say "no" to bloating! You know the feeling. Sometimes, after you eat a heavy meal, you just feel like a whale. You don't want to move. Believe it or not, it could be related to the amount you chew your food. You feel bloated because you are, and when you don't chew your food well enough, more of it winds up getting converted to fat. Make it as easier for your body to digest your food.

7 Spice it up! If you like spicy foods already, then you'll love this one. Simply add some spice to the meal you're about to enjoy. Cayenne pepper, chili peppers or chili powder, turmeric and the like all raise your body's metabolism, allowing you to burn more calories, more quickly, which increases the rate at which your body burns u nwa nted fat.

8 Drink "Belly Fat Burning Water" You may already know that you should drink about 8 cups of water a day. This tip is even better, though. Simply add the following ingredients to a pitcher, then fill it with water, and drink one pitcher of this stuff a day: 1 Teaspoon of ginger (grated) 1 medium sized cucumber, sliced into thin slices 1 lemon, sliced into thin slices A dozen small mint leaves Not only will this help you lose weight (especially around your belly), you'll find that drinking this concoction also boosts your metabolism (the ginger is what does this), and helps you digest your food more easily, which ties in with the point about bloating that I explained above I

9 Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables Not only will you get plenty of natural sugars when you eat fresh fruit, but you won't overload your body. The problem with eating sugar in other forms is that you get the sugar without the fiber. That essentially overloads your body with more sugar than it needs, and since it can't do anything with the amount you're giving it all at once, it stores it as fat, especially around your middle. Fresh fruit is different though. Since it's high in fiber, your body has to work harder to digest it. That means instead of getting a massive dose of sugar, you're getting a small amount, spaced out over several hours as your body digests it. III11 111I11

10 Add the RIGHT supplements to your daily routine One of the best and fastest ways to burn belly fat is to give your body help in the form of supplements that make it easier for your body to burn the fat in the first place. There are a variety of excellent fat burning supplements you can add to your daily routine. Just down one on your way out the door each morning, and your body will get a much needed boost on the fat fighting front. One of the better supplements out there is one called Fucoxanthin. It fights fat in two ways. First, it helps a certain protein in your body, called UCP1. UCP1's whole reason for existing is to oxidize fat. ----==========------====---=== The greatest concentrations of this protein can be found in the fat cells around organ tissue, especially your gut. What's great about this is that your body's own fat is giving you the tools you need to destroy it. It's just a matter of kicking the effect of UCP1 into high gear. First, if you're drinking cold water, then you're jump starting your metabolism. Anything that kicks your metabolism into a higher gear will automatically help you burn more fat. Second, and every bit as important though, is the fact that drinking more water means that you'll have to get up more often during the course of a typical day to go to the bathroom. That might not sound like a lot of exercise, but every little bit helps, and if you have a desk job, then you probably don't get many chances to get up and move around. 12 Get up earlier in the morning This trick doesn't take any time at all - in fact, it gives you MORE time. A lot of people think that you have to spend tons of time doing exercises designed to focus on your gut if you want to burn fat. However, it's true that exercise does matter if you want to accelerate your results and shed unwanted pounds more quickly. Or, to reach your phone and start checking s. Or Facebook. It's best to get this 20 minutes of exercise in as soon as you wake up, and before your body can protest about it.

13 Get up earlier in the morning The good thing about doing it this way is that if you walk every day, first thing in the morning like this, you'll get more than two hours of walking in every week. That's huge! That's enough to help make a big difference in the battle of the bulge. Don't believe me? Try it for a week and see for yourself! Losing weight and shedding fat, especially belly fat doesn't have to be hard. The problem is that a lot of diet and nutrition "gurus" are more interested in spreading bad information and getting you to buy their overpriced products than they are in actually helping you solve your problem.
