2 Southern African Sexual Health Association (SASHA) With Aspen Pharmacare Sexual Health Master Classes Cape Town Vineyard Hotel Saturday November 3 rd 2018 SASHA Western Cape will be organizing a full day of contemporary subjects, relevant to practitioners who want to stay up to date and educated in the area of sexual health. Following on the success of our Master class conferences in 2016 and 2017, we have returned to a full day s schedule, with a roster of varied and exciting topics. This year included in the programme: Dr. Ettiene Kok will cover what you need to know in the world of Men s Sexual Health. Delene van Dyke will run her acclaimed workshop; Binaries & Boxes, addressing the confusing interface between gender, biological sex and sexual orientation. Dr. Ros Boa & Corina Avni will jointly present a mini- symposium on Female Sexual Pain, including diagnosis and management. Dr. Marcel Londt will address the intersect of adults who use child sexual exploitation material with those who eventually go on to commit offenses and will explore how we understand the concept of pedophilia. Dr. Zane Stevens: will cover the uses and abuses of Testosterone amongst men and women in clinical practice. Dr. Johan Hugo will present on the clinical challenge of managing risk amongst men who have sex with men (MSM) The SASHA master class day aims to provide high quality educational experiences, as well as an opportunity to network, create dialogue and stimulate debate. 4 List of speakers Corina Avni: Corina Avni is a registered physiotherapist, clinician, lecturer, researcher, and student. She has a Master s degree on the function of the pelvic floor muscles during gait.. Her clinical practice focuses exclusively on pelvic function in men, women and children. She has a special interest in pelvic pain both pregnancy- related pelvic girdle pain and chronic pelvic pain with multiple pelvic co- morbidity. She lectures nationally and internationally on a range of pelvic function topics (courses, workshops and conferences). Corina was the driving force behind the first multi- disciplinary chronic pelvic pain initiative in South Africa (Cape Pelvic Pain Clinic). Dr Ros Boa: Dr Boa is a Sexual Medicine practitioner based in Cape Town. She has worked in the field of HPV and cervical cancer research at Groote Schuur hospital and in Khayelitsha clinics. She trained in Sexual Medicine in Europe and is accredited as a fellow of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine. She was Chairman of Sasha Western Cape from and is a member of the European Society of Sexual Medicine (ESSM) and the International Society of Sexual Medicine (ISSM) Dr. Boa also holds a post- graduate certification in Mindfulness- Based Interventions, through the University of Stellenbosch. Dr Johan Hugo: Dr Hugo is a Senior Clinical Advisor for ANOVA Health Institute in their Health4Men programme. He holds the diploma in HIV medicine at the College of Medicine SA and has completed an HIV research Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. He looks after a large cohort of HIV positive men with complex medical problems and is responsible for the training and mentoring of healthcare workers locally and in Africa.

5 Dr Etienne Kok : Dr Etienne Kok is a medical practitioner, certified psycho- sexologist and senior lecturer in the Department of Urology at the University of Pretoria and Steve Biko Academic Hospital. He deals primarily with individuals and couples with sexual dysfunction and relationship problems. He lectures and teaches extensively, throughout South Africa on the subject of Sexual health. Dr Marcel Londt: Dr. Marcel P Londt is the current head of the Department of Social Work at the University of the Western Cape. She holds an undergraduate degree from UWC, A Clinical MA from UCT, postgraduate certificate from the University of Louisville, Kentucky (USA) in assessment and intervention with Juvenile Sex Offenders and a PHD from UWC. She is closely associated with intervention, assessment and program development for children, adolescents and adults who present with sexual behaviour challenges. Her current research and community engagement has a strong focus on risk assessment with juvenile and adult sex offenders as well as engagement with young children with sexual behaviour problems.

6 Dr Zane Stevens: Dr Stevens is a Specialist Endocrinologist, running the Cape Institute of Endocrinology at Christiaan Barnard hospital. He is also a consultant/lecturer in the division of Endocrinology at Stellenbosch University involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. Dalene Van Dyk: Delene is a Registered Nurse Therapist and Psychosocial Educator with more than 20 years of experience in the world of mental and sexual health. Her workshop, Boxes and Binaries (or not!) has been widely acknowledged as ground breaking in promoting the understanding of gender, sexual identity, diversity and fluidity.
