Shooting Starz Productions ~ The Little Mermaid Spring 2019 Why choose Shooting Starz as the children s theatre for your child? Our musicals are for kids of all experience levels. We believe that all kids should have the opportunity to take part in a production. Every child who auditions receives a role! Our production is based on a first come first serve registration basis, not an audition. We have worked with dozens of kids that have never had a performing experience and the growth and accomplishment that takes place is absolutely amazing! We give kids lots of opportunities to participate! All cast members have a speaking role and perform in multiple musical numbers (no ensemble roles in our shows) We are a Christian organization. You do not need to be Christian to participate. We do however pray before each practice and performance as a group. We also implement Bible verses and Christian values into what we do. Our dance moves, costumes, content of the musicals, etc. is family friendly and age appropriate. Registration opens November 26 and will close when spots are filled. Kids in grades K-8 in the 2018-2019 school year are welcome to register for either cast. High Schoolers are welcome to register for our Family Cast. Adults signing up for our Family Cast must have a child or relative in grades K-8 registered. Adults do not have to pay a registration fee. Cost to participate is $240 per child. The registration fee covers practice & performance space rental (including stage rental), script, CD to practice with, a T-shirt, props, costumes and more. A minimum of $120 per child (half of the registration fee) must be mailed in with registration form in order for a spot to be held. The remaining amount ($120 per child) is due on audition day. Contact Steph Caron to set up a payment plan if needed. There are no refunds. The website will be updated to show how many spots are still available. www.ssptheatre.org How do I register? April 26 @ 7:00 pm Musical Commitment~ Being a part of a musical is a big commitment. We ask every cast member to be at every practice. Being a part of a musical is a team effort and we want every child to succeed. Each time a cast member isn t present; it makes things more difficult for the rest of the group and can be stressful for those who had to miss in the case that they fall behind. We do not hold make up practices. For cast members who miss practices, there is a chance that their lines may be cut or they may be removed from a musical number. Parent Commitment Help your child with memorizing their lines and getting them to practice Helping your child stick to their commitment to the musical. We expect families that sign up for Shooting Starz to help their children make sacrifices when necessary (coming to rehearsal & missing events that that come up after committing to this show) For more information or questions contact Steph Caron at shootingstarzprod@gmail.com or 612-715-9178
