November 2012 Formally Established
To provide the Berkeley community a non-partisan forum for the presentation and debate of a wide range of ideas; to reaffirm the value of a liberal arts education; and to regularly organize, promote, and broadcast debates, panels, and talks by distinguished persons, and any such events, activities, or conversations as shall engage and challenge the faculties of the mind. What is a Committee? Permanent, year-round Constitutionally prescribed Chaired by one of the Vice Presidents Members may serve on 1 committee
Programming Committee Plans and organizes Forum events Invites guest speakers Handles travel and accommodations Coordinates event logistics Brainstorms ideas/themes for events 1 panel/debate per member
Communications Committee THE BERKELEY FORUM Serves as the Forum s marketing wing Publicizes all Forum events Handles the Forum s social media Manages the Forum s branding 3 Projects: External Affairs, Internal Affairs, and Development
