For individuals with a diagnosis of Autism or Aspergers. 16+ Social Drop in Social drop in for adults aged 16+ with an ASD diagnosis. Activities include: games, pool, art and themed activity nights. If you have never attended a social group at the OSS before and you would like to come to our drop in please first arrange a meeting with a member of the OSS staff.

Monday the 9 th of Art Workshop for Adults We have an Art tutor fortnight who will be running Art Workshops for Adults with an Autism or Asperger diagnosis. The Workshops will include basic art techniques. All materials will be provided. Please call 01383 724200 to book a place. Tuesday the 10 th of Wednesday the 11 th of Thursday the 12 th of 11.30am-7pm 10.30am- 12.30pm 2pm-4pm 1-3pm 5-7pm Girls Group A group for girls aged 16+ with an ASD diagnosis aimed at creating a relaxing atmosphere where social interaction is encouraged between peers. Theme nights will occur at regular meetings but the focus of the group is to have a safe place for females to meet. Movie Matinee (for adults aged 16+ with an ASD diagnosis) "Oz The Great and Powerful," Oscar, a small-time circus magician is hurled away to the Land of Oz. He thinks he's hit the jackpot, that is until he meets three witches. Oscar puts his magical arts to use transforming himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well. Creative Writing Group (16+) A new monthly group for to the One Stop Shop run by Wendy Martin. This Creative Writing Group is aimed at individuals with an Autism or Asperger diagnosis who are interested in developing their writing skills and imagination. This session is suitable for professionals and parents thinking of referring individuals as well as individuals who might be interested attending. Movie Night For individuals aged 16+ years old with a diagnosis of Autism or Aspergers. Group members can bring along a movie and the group will take a vote on the movie shown on the night. Popcorn and refreshments will be available. Family Social Drop In An opportunity for children aged 15 years old and under with a diagnosis of ASD and their families to socialise with other families.

Monday the 30 th of 9.30am-8.00pm Tuesday the 31 st Coming soon in April: I am Special for Siblings aged 10-12 years old. I am Special is a workbook developed by Peter Vermeulen and already used extensively with young people with autism spectrum disorder. The workshops will cover the I am Special sibling worksheets which include general facts, information about autism and personal information, covering the strengths an autistic person may have as well as the challenges they may face.
