2 Seed Quality & Treatment Purity HUBBARDS QUALITY = Higher purity and less weed seeds Pure Seed 98% Inert Matter 2% Weed Species Trace EU QUALITY = More inert matter and weed seeds Pure Seed 96% Inert Matter 3.2% Weed Species 0.8% A 13kg acre bag from other grass suppliers may contain less than 10kg of viable seed! HEADSTART GOLD Get your grass off to a flying start! Faster Establishment Higher Plant Numbers Stronger Seedling HEADSTART GOLD is the latest in performance enhancing treatment for all types of grass seed. Developed using the latest scientific research and field experience, HEADSTART GOLD is an improved version of the well-recognised HEADSTART treatment. HEADSTART GOLD is a biological germination accelerator which uses a combination of enzymes, seaweed extracts and micro nutrients to stimulate root formation, development and growth. A stronger root system during the seedlings critical start-up phase leads to better access to moisture and nutrients; which in turn produce stronger, more stress resistant plants. Hubbards Seeds use varieties from the Recommended Grass and Clover Lists

3 Short Term Leys (2-3 years) Top Cut For high yields of quality silage 4.0kg 13 kg/acre DAVINCI Italian Ryegrass UDINE Italian Ryegrass (T) ENDURO Hybrid Ryegrass (T) COPELAND Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass At least two bulky cuts of silage a year for up to three years Potential for excellent autumn grazing Blend of diploids and tetraploids for yield and forage quality High tetraploid content to maximise sugars (T) = Tetraploid Top Cut Red Clover A high protein ley which can be cut several times a season 2.0kg 2.5kg 2.0kg DAVINCI Italian Ryegrass UDINE Italian Ryegrass (T) ENDURO Hybrid Ryegrass (T) COPELAND Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass RED ADMIRAL Red Clover Blend 12.5kg/acre Produces high energy and high protein silage Red Clover will fix valuable nitrogen Potential for aftermath grazing RED ADMIRAL red clover blend delivers consistently high yields for the duration of the ley Benefits of Red Clover Red Clover offers several benefits when grown within a grass ley. Most importantly, is its ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen of up to 150kg N per ha (120 units per acre) annually. As well as this, Red Clover can also increase the protein content of silage by up to 20%, and therefore higher milk yields and liveweight gains can be achieved, when compared to grass only silage. Red Clover leys are also an ideal gateway into organic farming systems, by fixing nitrogen in the subsequent crop and improving soil structures.

4 Medium Term Leys (3-5 years) Flexisward A flexible mixture that will work how you want it to 2.0kg DAVINCI Italian Ryegrass 2.0kg AMALGAM Hybrid Ryegrass (T) 2.0kg ENDURO Hybrid Ryegrass (T) 2.0kg COPELAND Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass 2.0kg TRINTELLA Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass (T) 2.0kg MATIZ Late Perennial Ryegrass 0.5kg MERVIOT Red Clover 0.5kg VIOLIN White Clover 13kg/acre 3-4 year mixture for silage and grazing The most productive and versatile ley on the farm Provides a choice of management systems NO CLOVER OPTION ALSO AVAILABLE Smithfield A medium term cut and graze mixture COPELAND Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass MONTOVA Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass (T) 2.0kg MATIZ Late Perennial Ryegrass 4.5kg XENON Late Perennial Ryegrass (T) 0.5kg VIOLIN White Clover 13kg/acre 4-5 year, all ryegrass ley, with white clover Designed for high performance grazing Will provide one big silage cut, if required Rejuvenator Ideal for poached or drought damaged swards 2.5kg 4.5kg Italian Ryegrass Hybrid Ryegrass (T) Mid-Season Perennial Ryegrass (T) 10kg/acre An ideal grass boosting solution Establishes very quickly Enhances palatability Can also be used for new ley establishment, where cost is a key factor (T) = Tetraploid
