Examples may include demonstration, practical exercises, project work, class participation, group exercises, and delivery of declarative knowledge. Video and DVD presentation may also be utilised. Delivery strategies will be contextualised to focus on the needs and specific requirements of students in the homeopathy industry On campus delivery Full-time and Part-time students 12 hours face to face delivery per week for 12 weeks 6 hours self-study per week Endeavour may deliver units of study in intensive format for smaller cohorts whilst still ensuring that all requirements as recommended by the Health Training Package are met. Homeopathy Greg Cope This unit of study provides students with the homeopathic diagnostic skills necessary for analysis and treatment of a broad variety of clinical scenarios. Students will focus on attaining a familiarity with the important features of commonly used homeopathic medicines, in order to appropriately elicit, recognise, record, classify and prioritise characteristic and disease indications during the case analysis process. Students will gain the skills to manage obstacles to cure, direct and assess ongoing treatment, support clients by the application of suitable lifestyle interventions, and work collaboratively with other healthcare practitioners. Analyse and interpret information received 1.1 Physical examination findings are correlated with the case history\ 1.2 Information is gathered, assessed for priority and acted upon within the practitioner's capability 1.3 Information is organised and recorded in a way that can be interpreted readily by other professionals and according to clinic guidelines 1.4 Clinical disease is assessed according to signs and of condition, and results of investigations 1.5 Condition is classified according to stage of disease and homœopathic nosology 1.6 Professional judgment is used to draw sound conclusions and prognosis from the data collected 1.7 All signs and are elicited in a thorough and objective manner to avoid prejudiced or premature conclusions 2. Make a homœopathic diagnosis 2.1 Appropriate analysis techniques are applied 2.2 What is to be treated in the client is identified 2.3 Expected natural course of disease is established 2.4 A meaningful totality of is established 2.5 Information is organised and recorded in a way that can be interpreted readily by other professionals and according to clinic guidelines 3. Formative means that a student will receive feedback in a timely manner and apply this feedback in order to improve their learning throughout the duration of the teaching period. Summative means that the assessment item contributes to the overall assessment of required knowledge or/and skills or/and application of these in practice in order to demonstrate competency. For this unit of study, please note the specific requirements for each assessment item and the required level of achievement expected in order to show satisfactory progress towards competency. Vocational Education & Training (VET) students are required to pass all pieces of summative assessment. The Assessment Schedule (due dates) is to be followed and students are to adhere to these dates unless they have legitimate grounds for extension or deferral (see Assessment Policy). Students who fail a piece of assessment will be offered one reassessment opportunity and must complete this reassessment within the time frame given for that reassessment item.
