2 OBJECTIVES 1) To identify key elements and quality standards for optimal/comprehensive cancer control in Europe. 2) Cooperation of Member States, including the exchange of best practices to identify and define key elements to ensure optimal/comprehensive cancer care through a platform for Member State cooperation.

3 KEY DELIVERABLE The European Guide on Comprehensive Cancer Control The Guide will act as a European benchmark, providing a roadmap or strategy to optimize cancer care.

9 UPDATE Since November - work on first and second drafts of WP content, preparation of draft application, gathering of administrative and financial information, contacting interested partners 23 January, Brussels, WP Leader meeting, detailed discussion on each of the WPs and overview of administrative and technical preparations for application process February, Quality Assurance Workshop/Peer Review of Draft Application prepared by coordinator

10 Hosting the Member State Platform WP 5 now led by Italy, Ministry of Health Exact process of platform meetings still to be determined 6 meetings in total, held every 6 months, 2-3 days in order to include other JA meetings MS hosting the meeting must provide venue, catering (optional) and logistical/secretariat support Topics should be prepared by hosting MS (contacting speakers, forming the agenda, together with WP 5 team)
