AURORA, IL, April 28, 2017 Downtown Aurora s RiverEdge Park has announced four new concerts for Chicago s 2017 outdoor summer concert season, all sure to be hot tickets: Pop, R&B and hip hop heartthrob Jason Derulo will perform live at RiverEdge on Friday, August 11 at 8 p.m. In just a few years, Derulo has gone from writing songs for the biggest stars like Lil Wayne, Pitbull and Diddy, to playing his own arsenal of pop, R&B and hip-hop hits to thousands of screaming fans. Today, Derulo is one of the hottest musicians around, selling over 50 million singles and racking up 3 billion views on YouTube and Spotify. Tickets are $40. Because it just doesn t get much better than a summer night at the park, sitting next to the Fox River with a cold beverage in hand, listening to the most famous tunes of our time. Weisner RiverEdge Park in 2016 in honor of former Aurora Mayor Thomas Weisner. It is a general admission outdoor summer concert venue with a capacity of up to 8,500 boasting state-of-the-art acoustics and lighting, a warm community feel and gorgeous views on the banks of the Fox River. The park is anchored by the contemporary John C. Dunham performance pavilion. RiverEdge is easy to get to from Chicago via Metra s Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) line. Paid public parking is available in the Metra lot, with additional private lots surrounding the park and in downtown Aurora.
